I want the weather back real. . . if in unstable weather training, it is the most exciting and great level in this game. . . please review it, not great if the weather is freezing. . .
If fictional weather is easiest - and it’s not predictable - then that should be used.
However, there needs to be the ‘unpredictability’ of mid race rain changes to keep it interesting.
The main thing to get right is that with say, an hour to go until the start, the weather is accurately forecast for the start of the race, so you can do your strat based on that.
Are we any closer to a derision at least on what direction your plan on taking?
Its only been a short while, but its already getting boring with out the risk of rain etc mid-race. Rain is always the great equalizer as they say. It was always a good way for a new Elite team to grab a sneaky point etc.
I had preffer real world, for the randomnes and unpredictability of it.
Or at least a close approximation, a controlled realistic weather model, managed only by the developers, if it makes the system easier to handle / more stable, but in no case something controlled by league host or anyone else as some propose.
Cold or hot, with or without rain... how you manage it is the same to me, we don't really need it to be 100% precise, just a close aproximation for the sake of realism is enough.
The main point is that it stays somewhat logic/realistic, unpredictable and that allows a propper operation of the game.
I had rather have the temps 3º off from reality than a bug in game.
We have taken the temporary measure to freeze weather conditions in-game until further notice. We want to improve the system and may move to in-house weather rather than continuing with the augmented-reality system. It has caused a few too many complications impacting on the gameplay experience. E.g. mixed practice laps conditions, choosing a strategy in races based on inaccurate weather information.
Please vote on which system you would prefer us to use. Here are the benefits of each to inform your vote:
Hi Jack,
Do we know yet when you will be moving away from the frozen environment?
