Today I managed to win on a 0 stop at Belgium (5mm rain) in 50% rookie. Probably the only time I will ever do this

Please don’t lower your standards to please the kids, it’s not your style or what made the game so special ❤️

We're not. I completely understand that 3D racing seems unimportant to the more seasoned hardcore managers who are here for the simulation. The simulation is not going to change or be watered down, it's only going to get more detailed and have more depth now. The rest of this year will be spent increasing depth of gameplay and addressing all of the concerns raised by the more seasoned managers.

The most difficult thing about the last year has been having to keep our plans secretive. We do not operate in a vacuum, we operate in a competitive marketplace with a fraction of the resources of some of our competitors. Had they known our plans well in advance, their deeper pockets would have been used to cover them off. We accepted that we would have to spend a few months living with a great deal of misunderstanding, well demonstrated in your post, I might add. If you want to know where I stand on the state of the genre: Every other game has converged on the same idea and the same model, and I'm just as unimpressed as you by what they offer. Don't worry, that is not where we're going. We're moving in a completely different and original direction, but before we do that we had to lay the foundations for it.

We knew 3D would temporarily cause a lot of turbulence, just as the app launch did in 2017, but these are vital steps on the road to where we are going. I can only apologise if it looked like we were having a wobble from the outside, we're not. Other than some of the issues we faced with the rushed rollout everything is going to plan. We had to launch when we did for various reasons - anyone who says they would have delayed has none of the external forces and factors at play in their decision making proces, of which there are many.

As soon as we're stabilised, we're turning our focus fully to gameplay. It won't take long for us to address most of the things you want addressed as a priority. Over the next year things will come full circle and completely make sense. I am convinced we will win even the biggest skeptics over. As always, we appreciate everyone's feedback and passion for the game. We're more aware of them than it might have looked in recent months, for all the reasons outlined above.

Don’t worry Jack, I’m still lingering and watching how things are going...

My main accounts are out to stud for a wee while longer and I can’t be bothered changing my login, but it’s still me! It has actually given me time to do other things as I have been kicking the @rse out of this game for 3 years now! Maybe the dodgy update (I’m not retracting that, it was properly brutal!) has been a blessing for me... and my family! 😂
As much as it annoys me that I feel I’ve lost a bit of “trust” in the dynamics of the game, the early signs are beginning to show promise, I must admit that after the clusterfk of an update, I really thought you had killed it for good...
I am certainly not disappointed to find that tracks, tyres, drs strength and race lengths are all different... this is awesome in my eyes and I look forward to relearning everything again, ONCE I know it is stable and I can trust it again.
I have read you last few updates and I appreciate you taking the time to talk to us like real people and from the heart. Also asking us for help, which I felt you maybe could’ve done more before... but as you say, you have to be careful what you say in public until things are rolling. You have an amazing community around you with some outstanding managers around who can offer their advice and help as I understand you are a small team, and you have been doing that which I have a lot of respect for.
Anyway, I have 4 weeks of preseason training then 3 games a week all summer so don’t rush it, GET IT RIGHT and I’ll dust off the old accounts and, if they will have me back, try to get into my old league again 🙄😂
Good luck and stay calm mate, quality over quantity 💪

Should not we be able to still play the game the way it was! Have the same old game but allow an option to run it in 3D if you like.

Right now it looks like a new game from scratch. So those who've been playing for awhile are lost right now

Actually you can switch back to 2D.
