So I think I missed some updates or we are probably talking about different games. That is, do you find racing in the rain fun? Zero overtaking, whoever starts on pole wins, if you have a car in front of you that are slower than many laps, you won't pass it unless you use the boost. And you talk about "dirty air" ...
Wet races have a lot of advantages imo.
Personally I feel having the best car should have it's rewards and wet races is one of the few times that reward is awarded.
A lower level can also fight for points.
There are very few wet races in a season anyway, so this should not be a problem.
Oh and I love wet races btw, both the undercut and overcut can be effective.
I can agree if the qualifications reward the best teams, but that's not the case. But it can still be accepted if there is still a chance to recover. And anyway in the winter season you can find many races where it rains (All Europeans + Malaysia, Canada, Japan ....) are not exactly few.
