But this is not a thread about how many litres do I need for a race at circuit X with FE Y and PL Z, the originl post suggested that the fuel consumption indicated for practice laps is inaccurate. I think we've established that it is most likely correct but people didn't realise that the relationship between fuel consumption and PL is not linear. You can't simply add or subract a fixed 0.XX litres per lap for each increment/decrement in PL. You might get away with it for PL1 - PL4 but it is a larger step to PL5 and in a very long stint (i.e. a no refuelling race) this can catch you out.
