Not presently, and there's no plan to change it. The new balancing system means they will be competitive within a few races and it's kind of intentional that teams get penalised for changing leagues.

okay. fair enough.

So tonight I took my first elite win but Ive gotta admit as I said in race chat it does feel a bit hollow being given a bucket load of design points. I don't feel as in control of this game as the old igp, with old igp I felt like I was influencing development and moving my team forward. Before the switch to the new game my team was just starting to break into the top 5 in races and challenge for podiums after many grueling seasons of driver training.

But this feels more random. Race one I was 18th, race two I was 8th with the new balancing system and now race three Ive had both cars in the top four with the teams with the best cars struggling to break into the points. Balancing is a great initiative and obviously last season with the game launch the gaps were too much but now I feel its swung too much the other way, hopefully the next few races (I know you said 5 races) we start to see more consistency (not that I'm complaining!) and next season we can have close racing by all!

I know Jack and the team are working hard behind the scenes moving it in the right direction so hopefully we will get there soon!

Why look a gift horse in the mouth for? you are now competitive and if you picked up hundreds of points, i mean would it be better barely scraping anything together or have a fair system where you can actually show how good you are in a fair fight? so yes, good on you for winning but you did it because you wanted to and now you have shown the others that you can slug it out with them instead of them building such a gap it would be impossible to bridge.

for example i doubt even you would be happy for very long if you were a level 10 manager compared to the level 20 manager that has everything, so potentially 10 or more design points per race with the old system, you would never be able to do anything about it. this new system neutralizes that lack of fairness and gives you the chance to catch up and show how good you are when you given the chance.

i like this new system a lot and i can't wait to see it at work next season in the league i am in. finally a proper scrap!
