Allan. It also helps if you join a league where you're guaranteed a win and bonus payments every race because your car development is higher than everyone else's. My team in Funula One is similarly advantaged.
If you were in a league where you were not regularly achieving goals and we're playing catch up with higher level managers you'd not find it quite so easy.

Thanks to your suggestion I have taken a recent oportunity to assign more appropriate sponsors and now can acheive the same income regadless of any development advantage and the need to win. If i win I am better off by a few £100k. If I dont acheive sponsor objectives next season I only lose out by a few £100k. I wouldn't expect to win against higher level managers with more developed drivers but hopefully the game will be tweeked enough to be able to catch up over time

Put yourself in a position where you have little hope of getting sponsorship income based on an objective, worse you find yourself in a position where without any type of prize money things don't get any better. It is easy to say to people to stop complaining, but if you know how it goes, you would at the very least consider the position of other managers less fortunate.

it wouldn't matter how good you think you are, you are only as good as the system allows you to be, so in the end i can't agree with you as circumstances may very well prevent you from getting what you want and not by your own doing in some places and you can't prdict how things will go either.

Less ignorance is bliss and more understanding is the answer. make sure everyone gets something from it.

Hi Allan

You're correct, you can make a very small profit every race providing you convert your sponsors tokens to cash and the recent changes have certainly made the financials easier.

You are in a position of strength regarding level caps and car design so you will get the success that we're all playing for whether or not you actively manage your team or spend any money. Also, managers who have carried large balances over from old iGP can afford to remain competitive by running at a loss for a quite a few seasons. I transferred approx. £450m from old iGP so can lose £20m a season for a long time without any worries. It's cost me about £100m and a good number of the tokens that came from the old game but I have now got all of my facilities to match my manager level (15).

For new managers it is a little more difficult. After a couple of seasons getting their head around the game they're going to expect a little success. New managers will level up more much more frequently than you and to achieve success (even if it's only a points finish) they need to spend money and tokens to hire new staff and to upgrade their facilities to match their rapidly rising manager level.

Add to that the fact that they are new to the game and not as experienced as you in managing finances and it's not long before they could find themselves in debt that they can't get out of without replacing all their best staff with low cost no-hopers.

You've played this game for eighteen months and in the early days have no doubt made mistakes that in old iGP it was possible to recover from. The new game is less forgiving and not surprisingly some managers are struggling with finances.

I dont understand! None of you wages are high! You dont need to achieve your objectives to get sponsorship money. Just pick the sponsor with the best basic income. I get 3tokens and 2M whether I achieve objective or not, The way I see it thats approx 5M.
Btw I didnt have huge surpluses of cash or tokens coming into this game, and it has cost most of what Ive had to get my drivers, staff, headquaters sorted out. But unlike so many people seem to think, ive realised that it takes time to upgrade things so I havent been throwing every token towards healing drivers so I can continuously train them, or throw tokens at hq so I can upgrade my facilities 10lvls in 5minutes!! It takes time and by taking time its possible to run at a small profit

It takes time to upgrade things, and for new managers it will be slow of course, and I agree with what you say but surely new managers wont be paying high wages coz they cant get high lvl staff/drivers. And (I may be wrong about this bit but) new managers will be in rookie and so will not be facing managers thats are far better than them certainly not a lvl15 manager in same league as a lvl2 manager, wasnt the system changed to make this impossible. Yes the new iGP is unforgiving but perhaps the old one was too forgiving but ppl still shouldnt be running into massive debt
