Hi! There's a bug that I don't know if it's personal or if it happens to everyone, but I have a level 7 account that I used to try sprint races, and although it now lets me click on the "Leagues" option, my account profile says I'm in beginner mode, so no leagues appear in the search engine and it doesn't let me join one.

This should be resolved now. I forgot to bump everyone up who was already level 7-10! The game wouldn't automatically do that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Would 100% have to agree. I Have just started a new account literally as of yesterday of writing this post. Im still somewhat new to the game and by no means is close to calling myself good at the game but im struggling to even get the levels needed. It takes to level 6 in sprint races that are dominated by level 20+ so me and my level 1-6 drivers with no upgrades are getting the wiped all over and cant gain Exp or anything because i cant get high enough in the standings to win.

This could be solved by making it so accounts under lvl 6 cant join races with people have have completed what i consider the tutorial part of the game

LMK if anyone disagrees

In Sprint Races the playing field is levelled, a L30 account has no real advantage over a low level account. I also started a new account recently to fact find and won just about every Sprint Race in which I competed.

I suggest you try playing around with the two sliders in the SR car setup page, correct positioning of these will gain you performance. Also, a competitive strategy is important.

The real issue for me is when you enter league races. Often you will only be competing with bots/filler accounts in Pro. If there are enough bots in Pro to trigger promotion you will find yourself in Elite at L10 to L12 which is ridiculous. You'll spend many months just trying not to be lapped, not much fun in that.

I created a new account myself in January and reached level 10 the day before the update so I could start in leagues directly.

I must say it’s true that with a low level account you get lapped and end up being P15-P20 most of the times but when you finally get into the points it’s really rewarding.

The thing is I’m kinda experienced in the game and know what a good strategy might be in the race, how to design the car, how to manage the boost during a race etc. so I could get into the points quite early (about level 12, in my first elite season and now at level 18 somewhat consistently getting into the points against higher level players) but a new player might not know or figure out what he is doing wrong and how he could improve or do better and be stuck outside of the points for a very long time, potentially forever, and lose interest in the game. That’s the issue in my opinion and that’s why the community is so important and that’s what is missing in the pro rank (where they should gain the experience before joining elite) because of lack of active players.

A guy in previous posts suggested a mentorship program (an experienced player guiding multiple rookies through the game) and I absolutely love and welcome the idea. I think this might really improve the experience of new players.

This idea deserves a thread of its own, if you could pls make a new suggestion (new forum post)? I’m willing to do that too but don’t want to “steal” your suggestion

If I had to describe iGP in one word, I would say "leagues." I’ve been here since 2020, during the pandemic, and I was fascinated by the depth of the leagues. They are the heart of this game. Personally, I really enjoyed them, and after getting to know the community, I created my own league.

With this new system—which I do like—the Manager-League relationship has been broken. As a result, the best thing about iGP (leagues) doesn’t reach new players. Personally, I believe that any player who joins a game like this, based on Formula 1 racing, wants to compete in a championship. And honestly, from talking to rookies, they tell me the same thing. It’s completely natural—people want to race, earn points, and become champions.

I like the idea of events; I think they could bring life to Sprint Races. It’s an excellent opportunity. If I had the means to contribute to the game, my idea would be to create a rookie league—perhaps a competition every three days, weekly, or monthly. Rookies would earn points in Sprint Races, contributing to a rookie championship leaderboard, making it a competitive and very healthy system.

In conclusion, I believe we need to find a way to fix the Manager-League relationship, which is currently broken.

Feedback point 2: Leagues seeing fewer people joining

In my opinion, the lack of level 10 rookies is due to the long progression path. Completing around 20-30 sprint races should be enough for a rookie—ideally, by that point, they should already be in a league, competing with others. Another interesting option would be to lower the required level to 5, which I don’t see as a bad idea.
I personally enjoy the community and communication, and if the entry requirements for leagues were reduced, it would be a great advantage, allowing rookies to join leagues more quickly and keeping them engaged.
I think the marketing campaign is fantastic! I actively promote my own league on social media, and I believe this is a crucial and important step for the game’s growth.

Jack
Feedback point 3: Progress to level 10 is too slow and causes newcomers to quit.

Yes, it is long. When I talk to rookies who have reached level 10, they all say the same thing.
In this case, I want to help improve the game, so I came up with the idea of reaching out to all the rookies and gathering general feedback on their experience, so they can share their thoughts here. I will talk to them, and they will share their opinions.
Everything is for the betterment of the game.

Jack
Feedback point 5: “There’s no mentorship system.”

The invitation system in iGP follows the classic referral model, but mentorship is something entirely different. Here’s how the mentorship system works:
Volunteers sign up as mentors in the language of their choice.
New players can request mentorship and are shown a list of the highest-rated mentors. They get to choose whom they want to learn from.
A mentor can guide multiple rookies at the same time.
Once the rookie reaches a certain level, the mentorship ends.
Mentors can be rewarded with a badge on their manager profile, in-game money, tokens, or other incentives. However, the most important aspect is the symbolic recognition of their contribution.
The mentorship system offers significant advantages over the verified system. Instead of a rigid structure where new players must prove themselves before gaining full access to the game, mentorship creates a more engaging and personalized experience. It fosters a stronger sense of community, encourages player retention, and ensures that newcomers have direct guidance from experienced players. This system not only helps rookies integrate more smoothly but also rewards veteran managers who actively contribute to growing and improving the iGP community.

Here’s the original suggestion. I don’t want to steal it either but imo it really deserves to be at least considered. I don’t think it needs a new forum post though.

No new managers have come in for months now, we have become much worse than before

It's a painful truth—unfortunately, there are very few rookies. Obviously, things have slightly improved compared to January and February, but not by much; I see many abandoned leagues and fewer players, more than before. Maybe the requirement to join a league should just be to complete one sprint race and then see what happens. I think that could be a good solution—or at least I want to believe it is.

Adding all the problems created with the new graphics, pre-race qualifying results not visible, 50 year old drivers still racing, drivers from stopped teams who do fast races automatically without consent, team links disappeared, difficulty entering a closed championship knowing the password... are you kidding guys?

Those bugs don’t belong in this thread. You can start a new topic about them in the forum. This isn’t the right place.

It's not a bug report that they already know, it's a simple conversation
