Ok how about this...

At the moment, drivers have all the different options for strengths and weaknesses...

How about if they added one more potential strength and weakness... Something like "Composure".

Similarly to "talent", "composure" would be a fixed attribute that you cannot train. If your driver's composure is 20 then they can handle driving in 1st place for hundreds of laps... But if their composure is 1, it means they may crash out a few times per season if they were to find themselves leading a Grand-Prix.

Finding a level 20 in Composure would be the rarest achievement. Most people would settle for level 19... But that means their driver may crash out or make mistakes costing them time on very rare occasions.

Or, if not crashing, at least have them make a driver error which costs a few seconds on very rare occasions.

Thoughts?

How about a kangaroo crossing the track in australia?

Have you been playing GPRO ?

Chas, the problem with the suggestions is that there are consistently repeating suggestions that would not work with the game.
Managers are always asking for ways to spice up the racing when it gets tricky, instead of looking for ways without changing the complexion of the game itself.
This is why it gets frustrating, when in the forum the same changes are asked for again and again when they would not benefit the game, which is why the same people are saying no each time.
I'm not against development of the game, but I think other things would be more beneficial e.g. working on pitstops, drs zones and strength, and different points systems

Steve
Pls stop repeating the same suggestion over and over again, look at all of this thread, there are your answers.

Did you even read what I said? My first comments were about crashes, this one suggested that "composure" could cause drivers to lose time when leading races. I suppose it's easier to just be like you and criticize others ideas instead of coming up with your own - and that's fine! Just shows what a sad life you have!

I will be okay with this on one condition: maxed out drivers will never crash. Elite is already crazy enough.

The only issue with crashes in a simulated game is that there's no way to implement it without having some sort of randomness to decided whether this is applied or not.

And that's why you can suggest many ways to try to make that a manageable skill, but we always end up by having the same discussion: some in favour, others against it.

Oy

1) you answer in a post titeled “crashes”
2) you suggest low composure could lead to drivers crashing out a few times per season, so it does concern crashes
3) don’t like the tone of your message mate
4) i have a great life, thx, its none of your business

If it has nothing to do with crashes it should be in another thread...

Otherwise Readers will combine it...

By the way there is already something like that, a driver mistake, depending on mental stats, obviously it is hard to observe in this game Format but they are there....
