i finally have access and just about to start playing should be interesting

I'm trying to play with a mouse now, but the loading time for races is ridiculous, so it always kicks me before the races actually start.

Driving takes a lot of getting used to, still havent managed to win yet but had a few podiums. Loadings been generally fine for me though. I think i'll take back my initial "ripping" i gave it to start with, its actually quite decent although the fact its only running for 4/5 hours a day is a bit dissapointing, although if it ran 24/7 you would struggle to find enough people to race with

the games fun, but it was advertised to me as an F1 managment game which its nowhere near the depth of an iGP or SIgames football manager series

Okay, I've had my first race now, and finished a lap down, because I couldn't get the hang of driving, and without the ability to access an offline mode, there isn't really a way to improve, without doing time trials. 

I'm disappointed with it, because the driving frustrates me, and I can't progress without it.

@Jack - lol - I bet they know who you are and didn't want you winning.

If you change the graphics to simple, 70% faster load times approx.

Yep!  Also, for me, running in windowed mode instead of fullscreen keeps the responsiveness high enough to allow you to turn when you see a corner coming rather than having to anticipate it every time.

Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread, I received today a mail from Codemasters that begins with this:

We are delighted to inform you that you have been selected to participate in the F1 Online: The Game™ Closed Beta programme.

Now, I don't know what next. What exactly shall I do ? The rest of the email is a bit evasive. Has anyone received this also ? What should I need to do ? It just tell me to log in at a specific time of the day today. Has anyone played this ? I don't know how to play or even more, what bug to report, since I never entered the site or played the game.

The "game" is only open during the hours shown 1700-2230 GMT [if you got the same e-mail as me] just click on the link in the e-mail, login and once it loads you do a quick tutorial on racing, and a tutorial on the "career" then your pretty much on your own to do what you want

Thanks. I hope to get the hang of it as I play it. People on GPRO told me you have to control the car, using (to me) odd key combinations. I hope to do well. I am to join between 1700 BST and 2130 BST.

Yep, you have to control the car, and I for one can't get the hang of it, as I've mentioned quite a lot xD. I wonder if it's possible to use the arrow keys to steer instead :P

It doesn't work at all for me. I get "Failed to update Unity Web Player". Fact is I have Unity Web Player up and running on my computer, it's just this game doesn't recognize it. I tried to reinstall it manually, still fails. I tried on Firefox and Chrome. And I can't even tell Codemasters, since the minute I log in, I get this error.

I got this the first few times as well. I'm not sure how I fixed it, but it did eventually work, before I was met by more problems.

OK, now (why just now ?) works. This is not a management game, as I thought, but a rather Micromachines game. I always hated those ! I tried the Codemasters game, I can only go in straight line. Otherwise I am all over the place. Thanks, but no thanks.

I actually managed to play it for hours after the 22:30 deadline :D
