OFZ HAS JUST BEGUN IT'S 100th SEASON! 
YES! ONE HUNDRED!! 

After just over 5 years OFZ, the first ever Formula Zero league, reaches its 100th season! It technically isn't the first FZ league to do so: FZWC & FZUR passed S100 this year or the last, but OFZ is the first to complete 100 seasons under the FZ name. 

I genuinely can not think of a more impressive milestone for a league to hit and it's an incredible honour to be the host to see it cross the finish line! Truly ending 2022 in style! I'm sure the OFZ racers enjoy it and make it one to remember!

Formula Zero has created a new league to start a new chapter of it's existence, Formula Zero United, the unification of the old Formula Zero West, World Cup and Ultimate Racing leagues. With this league we plan to use the combined powers of our best league hosts to bring a unique experience to iGP racing. Join now while spaces remain!

Welcome to Project Zero

Project Zero is a new endeavour to bring a Project Leyendas inspired concept to offline racing.

Proposed Conditions for Season 1:

Cars: 1 Car
Distance: 100%
Fuel: No Refuelling
Tyres: Two Tyre Rule
Time: 12:00 BST (Flexible but preferably no later than 18:00 BST)
Calendar Format: 19 Race Seasons, 7 days a week. 2 day break (Sat, Sun) before a new season.

Max Participants: 30 (22 places already taken and 1 further temporarily reserved)

Proposed start date: Monday 14th August 2023

Other Features:

Custom Results posted daily to discord, points to the first 15 (tbc) and a constructors championship.
Overtaking Competition (Driver and Team)
Tour Style Competition (Driver and Team)
Each manager will be required to select a driver number between 1 and 99 and include it in their team name.

Extra Rules and Limits:
No extra rules and limits proposed for season 1. Information from the first season will be taken on board and new rules introduced for future seasons if it is believed competition can be improved.

Teams Element Explained:
Unlike Project Leyendas, the teams element will be more of a side show, to this end, there will be no team captains selected or team draft.
Teams for season 1 will be randomly allocated.
Teams for future seasons will be randomly created from 3 pools (1-10, 11-20, 21-30 / Newcomers) determined by last seasons standings.
Team Dot colour alignment required
Team Liveries, would look nice but currently undecided on whether or not to include this as a requirement.

In all my busyness I completely missed the fact that this year on the 31st of July Formula Zero reached 6 years old, officially being closer to a decade old?

It's never lost on me just how incredible and impressive it is that this community continues to thrive even after so many years, and that despite whatever may happen with our leagues, with the game, with whatever, the avocados keep on going ??

Six years is completely insane, and it is all thanks to you guys! Let's keep pushing and make it to 7 years where I'll hopefully remember to send this out on time ?

This looks like a great League. I just had a quick look on the 3 leagues and saw that 50% for the competitive 1, 75 for the casual and 100 for offline, with the casual 1 having re fuelling. Does that mean having re fuelling enabled easier and what does the lap percentages do. I know it's a shorter race but does it calculate it as if it were 100 percent??

Oops just saw this now, refuelling enabled isn't easier but is a different challenge. On the one hand if you mess up fuel there are other stints where you can fix it. On the other hand when you pit is fixed once you've set fuel so there is a lot of pressure on getting strategy correct from the start.
Lap percentages are estimates of how many laps you can do with the fuel you've set

And the season has come to a close! Silvio Rosetti showed the rest why he is champion with a win to repass his teammate in the drivers standings.

The only exciting part of the race weekend is that we will be seeing 2 new teams promoted, Albania Motorsport and Green Bull.
