Tyre wear update and more

This Monday 24th February, we will be releasing an update to the wear rate of tyres in iGP Manager. Their durability will be close to the range from before the recent supplier update, although there will still be a degree of variation as introduced by the recent supplier changes. We will post a follow-up article on Monday announcing the change.
In the weeks following this we will begin investigating adding more tyre compounds, as we believe this could greatly spice up race strategies. Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments!
2D viewer permissions
We are also happy to announce for anyone that experienced issues loading the 2D viewer, the applet is now fully signed and any of the workarounds that were posted on the forum are no longer necessary. Instead, you simply have to confirm that you wish to give the applet permissions to run with a standard dialogue when loading it for the first time. You can check a box which will grant it permissions on all future loads, meaning this is only necessary once.
More tire compounds sound fun for racing :D
So that will be May 2015 for the new extra tyres going live.... now have to put up with this crap till then, or not... (shakes head)
Yeah, it's true, 50% races are way better with current tyres.
But i understand 100% is now going well. Half-way would be great.
Whilst the game is not trying to replicate Formula 1, the situation commented on recently where 9 stops won the race is clearly not what we are aiming for.
As Jack says, one of the priorities now is to add some more tyre compounds, which will change the strategy options in a more realistic manner.
Nooooooooooooooooooo 50% races were so much better, everyone i've spoke to says that, i been playing for 2 years and since update/tyre wear etc is the most ive enjoyed it for over a year by a long way, gutted that we going back to the crappy boring repetative 2 stop races....!
All the info I been gathering in the races , is now obselite, well time to start again :)
Anything that adds variables and options is good in my book. I play in a 50% Distance league - the new tyres seemed quite appropriate for us, as indeed with the fuels.. Personally I'd like to see the combined parts give the car an overall score like Power, Handling and Economy to equate the parts combinations
Thank God for that! :D Great News :)
