The following rebalancing effects are currently being processed and will be completed today:

1) (COMPLETE) Reducing all driver skills which exceed your level cap to the level cap value and recalculating the overall skill level based on these new values (driver talent is excluded from this, and may remain higher)


2) (COMPLETE) Reducing all staff skills which exceed your level cap to the level cap value and recalculating the overall skill level based on these new values

3) (COMPLETE) Upgrading all facilities in the HQ to 70% of your level cap. Tokens will also be automatically reimbursed for anyone who purchased accelerated HQ upgrades since the launch.

Points 1 and 2 only apply to players from the old iGP Manager who were migrated across and built their teams under the old system. Point 3 applies to everyone.

Points 1 & 2 are bit extreme. we can buy drivers and staff on the market higher that cap 12 attributes

But not with an overall above that level, so this brings the overall in many cases down from way above the level to being in line with it.

It's absolutely necessary, otherwise the situation is totally unfair. We could have a manager in Rookie with a level 20 driver (if they came from the old game), racing against a new player who is level 3 capped. The level limit for Rookie is 8, so the level 20 driver is now reduced to level 8, something the level 3 manager can at least obtain as he levels up.

If we didn't apply this change, then someone could idle in Rookie with level 20 stuff, which is literally impossible for new players to obtain.

Overall level is lower 11's & 10's but they still have 20 talent and 19's & 17's in areas

19s and 17s in areas? I hope you mean Talent, because the other skills shouldn't be that high. I can check if you give me an example of any other skills that are above the level they should be.

Clown & Chan their times ran out but they will likely be back again later they have 20 talent and other high level areas

Ah, they are teamless. That explains it. I'll need to do a new loop for teamless ones. Thanks for letting me know.

EDIT: Actually, it should be fine as long as the overall is in alignment. Nevermind! They can stay.

Even lower levels have some high skills that you can't train up to if you where level 7/8 team, so it looks fair enough

1. still have seen drivers with my lvl cap with skills around 10.

2. Our transfered staff / drivers have the wages from the old game, which are up to 10 fold higher then new staff of the same lvl.
Sure, I could fire my old stuff, but i do not want too :)

For me #1 is unfair. In my case I've had Sergio Ambrosini like for ever and I've trained him until he was lvl 16 even if I still am 13, and I did it playing the game. Now, from one day to another, you take all that work down and It doesn't seem ok, at least for me. Furthermore, the health was also reduced, now that it's harder to train them (for both drivers, one of them being just hired).. so, I think you should keep the things for the old gamers, because the things we got, were done going online every day, not paying or with other stuff, leastways for the drivers (I started with lvl 1 staff, so, no diference for me there, and waiting for the facilities).

I only had my drivers from 21st July, but I was training them in a certain way getting ready for the crossover to this new system.
The way I saw it was, if the driver isn't spending time looking behind him, he will be faster than a driver that is defending.
I done zero training on defending, I worked only on attacking, mental, speed & technical.

Both my drivers (of the profile I'm posting this message with) still have their 19 and 20 skill levels they had before (cornering, focus, morale, etc) while I'm a lvl 16 manager. I also see other teams in the league I'm in https://igpmanager.com/app/p=league&id=502 which have the same and also teams which do seem to be adjusted.

Also of the 12 drivers I shortlisted from my junior teams, only 3 are scaled down to the level cap of those respective teams.

Looks like the scaling skipped a lot of hired drivers.

+1 same here, my staff are all adjusted but my drivers and previously fired drivers are not.

Any chance this can be straightened out before we have a new race? (in general, I mean, not this one guy in one league!)

@Blunion, by "previously fired", do you mean they are unattached, no under contract? If so then they I would have thought that they wouldn't need to be "balanced" if they are above your level as long as you cant hire them?

Maybe I am misunderstanding how all this is working.

Jamie, you've understood it correctly. That's why I said it doesn't matter if they are teamless, since the overall level will still be correct. This way people can find more surprises on the market, as well.

I ran a script over all drivers within teams again last night, just to be sure. I couldn't see any examples which breached the level cap. It's okay if Talent is higher, this is excluded.
