For some people different browsers work better than others in terms of frame rate and performance.
But it is what it is and not everyone can run WebGL straight out of the box it needs Hardware Acceleration in order to run.

You can check whether WebGL works at: http://doesmybrowsersupportwebgl.com

Common problems & fixes.

Chrome:
On Win XP, WebGL and acceleration is blacklisted because it causes various (serious) system crashes.
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=72975

However, to enable it anyway:

1) Close any open Chrome windows
2) Find the Chrome shortcut you use (normally on the desktop or in the start menu) and right click on it.
3) Select 'Properties'
4) Add the flag --ignore-gpu-blacklist at the end of the Target box

If that doesn't work type "about:flags" on address bar of google chrome
then under "Override software rendering list" Double click to "enable"
"relaunch google chrome" it should work now.

The above applies to systems running Vista, Win7, Win8/8.1 & Win10 as well.

Firefox/Waterfox/Palemoon:
WebGL and acceleration is blacklisted in some graphic cards.

Type about:config in address bar and make the following changes:

To enable WebGL, set webgl.force-enabled to true. "Double Click"
To enable Layers Acceleration, set layers.acceleration.force-enabled to true "Double Click"
To enable Direct2D, set gfx.direct2d.force-enabled to true "Double Click"
To enable Hardware detection, set media.hardware-video-decoding.failed to false "Double Click"

The above applies to all systems running WinXP, Vista, Win7, Win8/8.1 & Win10.

Other Versions of browsers to try if above doesn't help.
Chrome Beta https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/beta.html
Developer Firefox https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer

Edge Browser for Win10
Type about:flags in the address bar & tick the following boxes:

Unrestricted memory consumption
Experimental H264/AVC support

If still experiencing problems check you have the latest graphic drivers for your system. some links:

Thanks James, I've pinned this.

There's only one thing I'd change about the post, it's actually a small minority who have had any issues, often with dated hardware or trying to launch the viewer on an unsecure connection ("http" rather than "HTTPS"). So, anyone reading this, another key thing to make sure is that you have the viewer open in a HTTPS tab (e.g. https://igpmanager.com). I've just updated the web app to force this for the race viewer even if you are somehow in the app on an unsecure connection.

3 Tabs open GameApp/Race/Forum in a browser that has zero plugins.

Ignore the 60% wrote at the top and focus on the actual amount the game is using in the browser.

Cheers, James. Worked a treat! Seems to have solved my issues with the race viewer.

I'm no computer techie but just a thought...
For the past few evenings I have been racing in the Elite Tier of Everyone Welcome league and a couple of the managers have been complaining about lag ruining their race.
My laptop is nothing special, it's an Acer Aspire with an i5 processor running Win 10 with (I think) 4Gb of RAM. I have never experienced any lag nor did I during Beta testing whereas others with higher spec hardware than mine do seem to be having issues.
So it got me thinking, are the issues anything to do with broadband speed? I'm fortunate enough to live in an area covered by Virgin Media fibre and a speed test suggests I am getting approx. 70 Mbps download and 6.6 Mbps upload. One of the managers complaining about lag last night said he was on a much slower EE connection.
Probably coincidental but just thought I'd put it out there for you techie people to discuss.

BTW... Admin, if I've posted this in the wrong place please feel free to delete or move it elsewhere.
Thanks

Interesting theory Kevin. Internet speeds might be part of the problem I don't have Fibre Broadband I just have normal bog Standard Broadband . First two races I had lag issues Germany & Hungary. European race I had a little, Spa I had next to none.

My laptop is far from high spec. and I use a wireless internet connection.

I have 2 desktop computers, the first one is correct and not lagging during races, the other one is pretty bad but can launch the race without errors and if I mininize the window without lags. I have a 2Mbps connection ..

In firefox go to about:support and make sure Hardware H264 Decoding = Yes
Even the Edge browser will fail to load the race viewer if you do not have hardware acceleration on your system.

To try and force Hardware H264 Decoding = Yes

In Firefox about:config

media.hardware-video-decoding.force-enabled = true
network.http.rendering-critical-requests-prioritization = true
gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading = true

i have Chrome running in my win XP. my video adapter does not support webgl but chrome manages to show the race viewer.
in beta, after the step back in development (when was really slow for everyone) it started to run perfect. with no lag at all, and not much CPU or RAM usage.
now, i cant manage to use firefox, and chrome is lagging as hell.
im out of 2 of my three leagues because is painfull to see but not be able to manage. i'm testing on this user, tuesday thursdays and saturdays, the other days im spectating but i'm really not in the mood at the moment. didn't thought this was going to be the issue. i thought we were going to be balancing and improving.

Must also remember that firefox and chrome have released two updated versions of their browsers since beta and they have blocked and removed items in config settings. If you can remember what the flags where that you used before during beta you can manually create it yourself and add them to the list.

nope, in windows XP still the same. I didn't update because it wont let me.
I followed all the flags you mention, and were already like that.
