Remove DRS?

Yes. A team with comparable drivers can be anything up to a second a lap quicker just leapfrogging each other. Build a lead over a second.. leapfrog to a win. Save the energy because you don't need to use it. So the last lap ers dump is still a thing. Especially if both cars get DRS with backmarkers. It's made undercuts and overcuts not even worth trying on most circuits. You pit early, make up ground. to be caught by the leapfroggers who now have fresher tyres. And overcuts you give up so much time to their fresh tyres and DRS, by the time you pit you are running comparable lap times to them without DRS but too far behind. its insane. Soon as it rains they have no tactic their drivers spread out and often fall down the order. 

Yes, Jack, you're absolutely right...but they replaced the DRS with "Overtake Mode" (If you're within a second of the car in front at a detection point, you can activate an overtaking mode that gives you more electric power to make the maneuver easier). So they didn't just remove the DRS and say goodbye, they replaced it with something that works more or less the same way.

So the advice I can give you, before making this HUGE change that could completely change the game, is:
- change the name from DRS to OM (overtake mode)
- remove DRS but find an alternative, as they did in real life, that works the same way (and no, +1% boost per lap is not enough to call it a valid alternative)

Yo diría que sería bueno el sacar el drs y hacerlo automático como la F1 pero también tener un sistema diferente que te de un boost si estás a menos de un segundo, en este momento si vas en tren hasta es perjudicial el drs porque aunque lo tengas el que no tiene te frena y perdés lugares o inclusive adelantar con KERS es una locura, terminas consumiendo 20% y no adelantas.
Deberíamos seguir a la par la F1 pero también mejora los adelantamientos, desgastes de goma, comportamiento en las temperaturas de las mismas, etc.
Es lo que corresponde, no será fácil el cambio pero es necesario, todo debe mejorar y cambiar con el tiempo, es la ley de la vida.

Con todo respeto, creo que lo que deberías hacer es centrarte en solucionar los errores de optimización que tiene el juego, hay manager que no pueden ingresar a las carreras por los errores que tiene el juego, también tienes muchos bug que solucionar como el de las paradas automáticas en box dónde se pasan del mismo y paran una vuelta después, en ligas offline con repostaje esto hace que terminen el último stint con 4 a 6 litros más de combustible. También deberías intentar solucionar los bug en circuitos como Bahréin dónde algunos manager se saltan la primera curva después de salir de box. Creo que esa debería ser tu principal prioridad en lugar de querer quitar algo que lleva años en el juego y nos beneficia a todos los jugadores 

Nah, I like the racing this way, it would be interesting to keep it as an option for boosted leagues if you are going to remove it.

I like liadiñas, they make racing more interesting.

Keep drs until f1 re-introduces it. Worked for boost.

Instead of removing it, can you add a second DRS straight or sector?

Keep drs as a league rule, ON by default, at least until/if IGP has a 2026 batteries system.

I voted Off by default, but after 2 minutes of consideration I think On by default is the way to go. Even if drs does not exist anymore in F1, everyone is familiar with it, and removing it, without adding a overtake system would make races more boring.

No, I think it's better to keep the drs, it keeps things more interesting and plus it helps as well the lower level teams keep up with the higher level one

I think just make it a league option, same with boost, and let the individual league owners decide if they have their league boosted. A huge fan of the additional league customisation in the last update and would love to see more.

Intentaría poner un poco menos de tiempo cuando vas a cambiar de neumáticos porque entras muy lento y tarda mucho. Lo q haría yo es como en F1 en la vida real cuando entran a boxex rápido y cuando van a parar bajando el ritmo.

Yo primero me enfocará más que nada en todos los bug y problemas de conexión, que Sinceramente cada vez es peor correr.... Con WiFi y sin wifi problemas de conexión o estas en una curva y derrepente en una recta o se te traba en el camino.. Y así te hace perder carreras etc... Primero terminar de arreglar lo que anda mal...

Hi Jack, from my perspective, what you could do is make DRS (or Overtake Mode) manual so the player has to be in the race to activate the overtake mode; this way we get rid of players who aren't active in the race and still get DRs to overtake others.


I don't think it's a bad idea; it would have the same function as KERS, but this one would activate only on the "green zone" to be able to work.

Potential returning manager.  I wouldn’t be enthused to return if DRS was removed it would be like an entire season of wet races.  Whether it and boost should be merged to make CV either a manual or auto overtake function is interesting, but not sure it would improve gameplay.

Well it depends, if you add active aero as a replacement, with every manufacturer able to deploy it starting from lap one, then I'd agree to remove DRS.
