Today we are introducing the Danger Car to iGPManager. The aim of the Danger Car is to spice up the racing, create incidents and undo all of the work done by the Safety Car.
UPDATE: This was just an April fools joke! Hope you enjoyed :)
iGP Manager has done wonderful updates to the game throughout the nearly 3 years I have been playing this game, but as a motor racing purist (and I am sure many others, who want a more accurate, realisitic sim, will agree) I find this addition, ridiculous to say the least.
The real April fools joke is the entire latest update ?

Paolo
The real April fools joke is the entire latest update ?
Hey Paolo,
With all my respect, a lot of people worked on that update, developers, artist even volunteers as beta testers, mods and translators. Please respect the work they do, I’m sure that if someone goes to your work and starts laughing you would feel bad. And trust me, I would be the first to stop that situation.
I’m always happy to receive constructive feedback and criticism, but your comment only tries to hurt.
Please reconsider your attitude, we aren’t kids here. ?

Paolo is completely right you have made a car design that flattens the development you have introduced the yellow flags that are useless and you have not solved old bugs and without fixing the qualifications ..... if this is the result of a lot of work maybe it was better to do nothing ..... here there is no child but managers who have been playing for years and have tired of your ideas

First of all: I respect people working on the game, I love it.
As you can notice from the emoticon, it was a joke indeed. I'm pretty sure everyone understood the sense of my comment, which it is not to offend, but it's due to the silence of the staff after many, many comments and suggestions. We've been writing constructive feedbacks for months, no answers received, just an update that made the game experience worse. And this is not an opinion only from Paolo Di Giovanni, you as community responsible should know it well.
If you (all the staff) answered sometimes to our requests and discussed with us about it, you wouldn't read the same kind of complaints every day.
Honestly, I can't find your comment pertinent with the communication - staff to players - of this forum.
Giving us an answer sometimes would be nice. Don't you have to? Tell us and we will stop giving you feedbacks and suggestions.
Hi all, I have asked for the team to reopen an investigation in to qualifying. This time, instead of looking for a problem (there isn't one from the code perspective, all the code is fine) I have instructed them to look for a solution that will satisfy the players. Clearly, managers expect a different behaviour than they are getting, with no random elements such as driver errors.
We are contemplating removing driver mistakes from qualifying altogether. Be prepared though, that such a change could make grids more rigid, so if you qualify poorly you will likely always qualify poorly. However, the performance will be more within your control as a manager, which is what I think people are asking for.
Also, to address the posts above - José is defensive sometimes because he knows how much work is going on. A lot of it isn't released yet and we're working on more than anyone is anticipating. Rest assured, all will be revealed soon and no, it isn't the danger car. ? Alongside this, I want to make it a top priority to address any of the remaining issues that managers feel are a high priority, such as qualifying.
