Hey Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to reveal the information you can about the game and the processes and development you are going through. For one, I really appreciate your openness, time and honest, where possible, in explaining what is going on and having the humility to accept the short falls.

I've played the game for a while and recently started a League with my Brother, which we are thoroughly enjoying! As you said earlier, you won't be able to keep everyone happy, and I'm sure that won't change, even after all the hard work. There are issues and as you have said, you see/read them and are aware.

Thanks for ploughing on and sticking to the vision you will unveil soon. I for one am excited to see what it is and to have some idea of the dream your are trying to create! Keep going :) and Thank you.

As a relatively new manager, I absolutely love the game. I have only been playing for 2-3 months and my days are starting to be planned around “race time”.
As a new player, it would be unfair for me to make many suggestions or comments yet. Reading the thread I am looking forward to some of what is to come, particularly pit crews and changes to tyre wear rates etc.
What appeals is the continual development strategy; sporting element and putting yourself against real opponents.
I know you cannot please everyone, and maybe as I learn more I might also get frustrated about bugs or lack of development.
However all I can say is please keep the communication going and keep up the good work guys!

Is an option to have no refuelling as a rule  in the league in the works or on the roadmap?

On the issue of priorities. I always thought that a game (any game) is interesting by its process, and not in number of medals on the wall. How wrong I was... P.S. By the way, I never looked at the Hall of Fame at all.

When Will this happen?

By Autumn/Fall you will have all the answers.

Adam
P.S. By the way, I never looked at the Hall of Fame at all.

Maybe we can change that with the updates! It should be active and alive, unlike now where it's essentially static.

if we have to wait until autumn it's ok, however, a tip until then don't change anything let us play like this because I prefer to play with the bugs that I know and maybe I know how to avoid finding each race with new bugs. take your time and when you are sure that everything is working perfectly you can launch the update .... there are many experienced managers who know many more things about the developers about this game ask them to act as beta .... mine it's just a tip ..... but at least this summer let us play quietly .... thanks and good job

there will also be closed leagues with 2 players who will simply raise the rating without spending any effort

It is useless to eliminate the comment, the hall of fame is totally useless, the game needs more to improve, not the points to say who has the longest ....

Not possible. Have you tried it? Reputation is scaled to the size of the grid as well.

Andrea
the hall of fame is totally useless

Not after this update!

Each update will likely have teething issues, so we need to roll them out one by one as each one is a big change to an area of the game. Hall of Fame, Quick Races and the rest which we haven't been able to mention yet.

Dome

We have this already, a team of more experienced players that test every update, but they don't always catch everything. Sometimes, it is amazing what slips through the net. It will be something like you must have a particular combination of a device, with a specific OS version and a particular translation activated all combined in order to produce a bug. When you put an update live with so many players, of course then lots of people may have that exact combination while not one of the testers did. It can be very hard to catch all possible bugs. I am not suggesting the older issues are like that, the ones this topic is about, but new bugs introduced by updates tend to take on this form these days because we've got a pretty good QA process to catch most things.

New HoF will punish leagues with only 1 race per week. Where's that Pitstop Blog you mentioned to post today? (or were my eyes deceiving me?)

and long time Jack :)

They fixed pits, back out in the wild 😀

I agree, they should scale rep to games/week, though I don't know how they would.

They are fairly accurate assessments of the issues we need to address, and we will address them. That starts with a patch to improve pit stops tomorrow.

I'm referring to this.

sorry I explained myself wrong ..... I wasn't referring to the fact that the beta team has to find the bugs but to the fact that they have to give better feedback ..... for example the development of 200 on one side led to not having more cars the same in the season finale but it also flattened the difference in points .... the solution was to leave 100 as massino but to halve the points at the beginning of the season this would always give the same result but at the same time it would give more value at every single point more. however if there will be many small updates we must expect many small bugs but at least now we know it and we will be prepared ..... good job

I can assure you the Mods and testers give adequate feedback. Whether the developers choose to act on our feedback is beyond our control.

Eight months ago I suggested that we simply nerfed the CDs to give fewer dp per race and reduce the dp generated from the HQ but the developers chose a different approach. An Italian Mod (who you probably know) was very vocal in his criticism of the design changes but none of us were asked our opinions before the changes were made.

Please don't assume that what gets implemented is what the Mods / Beta testers suggest.

We were also quite vocal in our concerns about Flags and Safety car but the update was still implemented.

Jack says that these incremental changes are leading to something bigger later in the year. Moderators are not members of iGP staff so we have no more knowledge of what is coming than the rest of the community. All we can do is make our concerns known about the effects that will be experienced by the community playing the game as it is today.

So when exactly are we going to find out about the changes being made to pits?
I know they've been rolled out but there's really not much of a noticeable change

I think this is a great game and have been playing it a fair few years now. What I struggle with is the areas which seem to be more about chance than actual skill or planning.
Qualifying - I’ve said it for ages, qualifying is random and can ruin races. Fuel needs to effect this to allow more strategies. It’s ridiculous that you can fuel 5 laps lighter than someone and qualify behind them on the same tyre. Ruins the race before it starts.
Flags - VSC just doesn’t work. I’ve just had a race and a VSC came out for about 2 laps. My first driver overtook it straight away, whereas my 2nd driver stayed behind it for almost a lap, losing seconds because of it.
I couldn’t give two hoots about hall of fame, I play the game for enjoyment not seeing my name on a ranking, but I get that other people are different.
Star ratings - I don’t get how you can max out a couple of drivers and have 1 at level 18 and 1 at level 20, makes no logical sense.

I know I’m off topic. First of all. I love this game. Personally check my league for the comments of how much I love this game. Just one thing I get asked all of the time. Why is level 18 the best level to be. Everyone seems to dominate being level 18 and then filters off down the pack when they become level 20 and the newer managers come through
