British Racing League, I think Season 10 or something. First Elite promotion, I arrived, a mere Level 6? against people who were much higher level. Snatched a Grand Slam putting the whole league on notice which sparked a very long and very competitive seasons up until the release of the 2nd iteration of the design system which we helped Beta Test!

Joining the New Zealand Championship in 2017 (i'm sure), 3 or 4 season in taking over as host and with one of the managers who came later on we opened V8 Supercars and Global V8 Supercars (sister league - closed a couple years back), and been going ever since with some great battles and down to the wire championships and a lot of bantz.

One such battle was memorable (in a different way for me) where i needed my #1 driver to win and the 2nd place in the standings to get 3rd or 4th, at the final race at France, and an upcoming manager takes the lead on the last lap and my #1 passes him on the final turn and then gets passed on the line with drs meaning the guy won his first ever race in Elite and i missed out on both titles i think it was, by 1 point. Haha.

Great races at times where the top 10 are covered by less than a second. Random strategies that surprisingly won, or came close, one manager attempting a no stop at Singapore in full wet conditions, which almost worked.

Back when the driver market was open. A manager employed all of the "out of contract" lap record holders and renamed them. For a period of time Peter Man held the majority of qualifying and race lap records. It was quite amusing at the time but caused a minor meltdown on the forum.

I remember this, but for a more entirely different reason.

This was the first time on this game, that I was severely bullied by a player, in this case by Boomer Kid (now known as Vance Sim)

In the original format, Boomer Kid wrote a constant barrage of paedo jokes, and implying that I was a 'kiddie-fiddler', all completely baseless accusations, which he later retracted by editing the posts later. Some of the posts he clearly forgot, and you can still read the false accusations (posts near the bottom of the thread)

It still is upsetting reading that post to be honest with you all. It's like a reminder of your time getting bullied online.

And what a lot of people do not realise at the time, it lead to the 'normalisation' of abusing me. I was sent DMs, saying 'people were going to smash my car' followed by lots of hahahas (all in capital letters) I managed to trace some of these accounts back to a certain player from Italy, whose name rhymes with 'Pian Gisanu'

The thread that Kevin has linked above is actually still of the top searches for 'iGP Manager' lol 🤣 Not exactly a great advert for the game, when you have an entire thread of players arguing with one another! Probably quite damaging for game when you think about it.

Anyway, it spawned this response: Response to Forum Thread#26723

And it eventually led to one of the most competitive iGP Manager lineups ever assembled together in a league: iGP Heavyweight Showdown League!

This league was meant to be a 3 season deal, but Boomer Kid did a Nico Rosberg, and left after Season 1! xD He had a significant advantage in the first half of the season (he league created a lot back in those days, so had all the data regarding a 1 stat car development) Come the 2nd half of that season, he was losing most races, and realised, with all things equal and with a regular season start, he would lose.

I won Season 2 in that league against Mirko in the finale, and then the league broke up! ðŸ¤£

Notable events for me.

Early in my iGP career, being coached by the legendary Joey McLane.

I think I was the seventh manager to achieve the maximum 10k reputation points in the original HoF (Joey McLane being the first). Of course, with the current HoF it is no longer possible to get the 9k Rep achievement badge.

Watching a number of managers fighting their way to the bottom of the original HoF, a trend started by a manager called "Pathetic Loser". I don't remember how many pages of HoF there were, but it was in the tens of thousands. Getting your team name on the final row of the final page became a serious competition, with managers employing all manner of tricks and exploits to destroy their reputation.

Multi championship wins in a top-tier offline league called "The Last Dance" hosted by Gian Michelle Pisanu. Another great manager who employed a driver named "Wakina", arguably the fastest driver who ever existed in iGP Manager.

Some incredible stories here! Was a pleasure to read them all.

I honestly have too much to mention, maybe I'll save some for a podcast lol.
I'll probably go with these 4, in no particular order

1. Winning my first elite race. The league was Everyone Welcome and it had a bunch of old (and current) greats like Marcel and Kevin. Each season I was getting cooked by these guys, but somehow in this one random changeable conditions race in Turkey, lady luck looked my way and smiled. The first of many wins in my iGP career

2. Being the host of Formula Zero for the last 6 years (wow that's waaaayyy too long xD). I've had the pleasure of meeting, racing, & teaching so many incredible people and managers. It's honestly kind of crazy how many great managers have come and done at least one FZ season! All in all, I'm so proud of the reach we've had and looking forward to more crazy seasons.

3. Formula Zero FINALLY winning our first Interleague championship after struggling for years against some legendary managers from legendary leagues. Whether it was F1 World or PL we just never quite had that final oomf to grab the title, so to finally be champions after 5 years of waiting... truly remarkable 🥲

4. I kind of mentioned it before, but every single (and I mean every one) title battle I've ever had. I remember them all so vividly... whether it be my first ever titles, or my various title victories and losses against Marc Buntsma, Pesp, Connor Scott, Tommy V, Michael Craig, Boomer Kid, Ottaviano, Cameron Pollock, Roones, Archie, Chris. Even had 1 or two seasons against Peter Man lmao. It's crazy to me that all those people and more had their own brilliant stories, successes, dramas, highs, lows and that more memories and stories are yet to be written.

Finally got around to this.

Having been around (on/off) for 13 years, you can imagine I have too many memorable moments (good/bad). I'll stick to more recent memories of when I came back fully during the Covid lockdown. Just a few.

1. Beating Gian for the title in TLD. It was an almost impossible mission beating Wakina, that driver was a cheat 😂.

2. Joining Project Leyendas and playing against the newer managers with a fresh approach to the game. Notable mentions (apologies to anyone I forget, y'all know I hate typing this much 😂), Chris Stanley (arguably the most complete manager currently playing), Roones Daboss (Rando turned friend and best race crafter I've ever faced), Phil Macey (Mr Spreadsheet), Michael Craig (top 1% in car development), Maahir (IMO the best overtaker), Cameron Pollock (PL host and top racer), Fried Rice (IGP Gen A 😂 but worthy of a mention). These batch of players are some of the very best in the current iteration of the game and it's been a privilege to race with/against them in the toughest league in the game.

3. Winning the teams title in my first season of joining PL, winning the drivers the next season and going on to win 5 more of each. The back to back to back titles was especially memorable.

4. Joining Discord World Championship (with their weird rules) and going on to do a treble (PL drivers, DWC drivers and DWC teams). That was pretty special.

5. Getting Gigi Hadid, my own 'cheat' driver and wreaking havoc with her 😂.

6. No dirty air iteration of the game was also pretty memorable. Not a good memory for me 😂 but yea it left a permanent mark lol.

So many more untold stories. It's been a wild ride and it's still ongoing 👌
