The adds don’t seem to work on iOS devices, I can’t watch adds on my iPhone 8 but the work fine every time on an old android phone
Try the new update (3.36), it contains many fixes including this.

So the IOS update seems a bit more stable. ran the Cache removal and so far its better. I see few ads but when it does come back it responds as it should not hangs like it did.
Good to hear, as expected!

iGP;you made the icons look more appealing...great!
Well, I did that while the rest of the team worked on other things.
Hamlet
how about letting us pick our car number from an individual league generated pool of numbers?....ok..not yet.
If a moderator or someone else has publicly approved this without consulting us I'll have to talk to them. We've never said we'd add this to my knowledge, so the use of "not yet" in this context has left me wondering if you have the impression that it's on its way?
Hamlet
Maybe let us choose our own car livery?....nope....ok...we can wait for that.
Assuming you mean creating custom liveries in photoshop or something (since the livery editor already matches the given description), who is going to devote their time to moderating them? The reality is that as soon as that is made available, people are going to start drawing genitals, offensive symbols, hate speech and infringing copyright on their designs. It requires a bigger team than we have to curate and manage thousands of submissions like that on an ongoing basis.
That makes this also something for the future potentially, but not at this time.
Hamlet
You've made so many moves in the last few months....I think it's time to decide where igp is going to be positioned among its peers.
It was decided a long time ago, but if we haven't communicated it well, then that's our fault, and I will take personal responsibility for that as my blogs in particular need bringing up to date. We are aiming to bring lots of exciting news soon on this front, and show what we've been working on and where we're taking iGP Manager in the year ahead.
Hamlet
Ads are a well known component of most free aps... most of us get that...What we don't get is how you are trying to dress it up and make it seem it's as a game saver. It's not....
This is a bit hyperbolic. I'm simply explaining that we've become more informed on how ads work and been advised to change the way we deliver ads by the ad networks. I would be amazed if there is even a single quote where I describe ads as a "game saver" because I don't even think of them like that, so again how you've received that message I don't know.
I've simply been posting in this thread because it's what I personally have been working on. Maybe I'm more visible than the rest of the team who don't make many visits to the forum, but that doesn't mean that's all that is going on or that the team as a whole thinks this is all that matters.
Hamlet
As a consumer however, I hold you equally accountable to provide me with relevant not just visual but technical improvements that will make a direct positive impact in my gaming experience.
A reasonable request. At the same time, it's not very reasonable to assume the technical improvements will be the ones you prefer or that they arrive in your preferred order. The reality of what goes into your thought process there versus ours is perfectly illustrated above by the example of liveries, where you want creative freedom on liveries, but we have to have a team of people to moderate that, ensure the terms of service are respected and consider the potential for copyright infringement for brands we may even want to partner with in future.
Hamlet
As for the rest of us that don't like ads.... Let us all be thankful that we actually have a choice to view them or not. I'm sure that was not an easy task to achieve by Igp. I'm glad they did.
Thanks, I appreciate you adding this. It's not always easy to say something positive on the outside, where it's far easier to point out what we don't like about a product all the time than it is to praise the work that goes into it.

when it gets to the point where in fact I can't be competitive without "having to" buy tokens on a regular basis......
If it's ever at that point, let us know. That's definitely not our intention whatsoever, and there are plenty of checks and balances designed in to the game to prevent that from ever being the case. Ads are one alternative among many to buying stuff and another is time, where the game is 100% free but needs more time investment.
Hamlet
Personally, the devs have given advertisers far too much control. Who's got the cookie here?
I don't understand what you mean. We built the game without ads and nobody complained about the dynamics or that they needed to buy Tokens to be competitive. We layered in ads into the already existing non-ads game that nobody complained about before ads existed, then the conversation changed. That's when we started hearing from people that it was unbalanced - one reason we've been working to address that imbalance.
