Yeah .. just a game. I had faith in it, programming basic variables takes few hours, I'm not capable of programming anything, but I worked with guys able to do that in the video game industry.
Servers ? What servers ? Not able to be stable for 1 month ? What kind of servers or so unstable ? maybe in my Garage ?
There s no Rage in these comments, it's only that the fun is getting way cause of the lack of races reliability, add on, reactivity etc... . It's time to move on or stop that joke, that is all I have to say. When you trust, then pay for a service, or " fun ", you HAVE to get some returns or progress. If there are zero progress, just admit you cannot do it right ? It's the least you can do for the people who supported you for a long time, supported your dreams and your projects.
If it's so hard to have a bunch of admins from around the world, not even here, not even capable of helping, stop claiming you are true fans or people loving this game and beeing here just for fun ( or you do not have anything more important to do ) . It's the first time I se so many races, evenings fuked up because of that. Stop it plz, it's just an utopy... I had many good moments here, but it's too much, it's killing most part of the fun, everyone is getting bored, wake up guys ...

Hugo there was a time 3 of those posts were posted on the forum here, guess where they went? All stopped the game, all the revenue gone and no change. Now here are people telling the same thing again and it doesn't look like there is going to be a change untill we're not on Java anymore. They say it's going to be 2015 but we would have had a new design system early 2014... I don't see the game stepping away from Java any time soon

So basically after voicing your complaints, 11 days later youve still been ignored apart from 1 moderator threatening to take down the post for no apparent reason. Now was I right or what about this falling on deaf ears. Youve subscribed for years and lined their pockets yet no one from the game has the decency to even post a reply to your concerns even though your at the point that your gonna stop playing the game. Seems to say alot about the way this game is managed, selective hearing!!!!

OR not wanting to reply to the same answers here on the forum. I'm not saying it's good but this isn't the first of this kind of post that they've got. They can argue, listen or ignore and sadly to me it seems like it's ignore in this and previous threads. Needless to say most of the people making those kind of threads like the game and paid but after being ignored left (same as I did, and going to do again)

I've been playing since 17 Dec 2011 and I've just worked it out now and £172.73 / $266.13 is the amount I have paid in to this game. O_O
Scott Taylor medal 5000 9 years 270 days ago
172 pounds is a fair investment into a game. It makes me understand even more about your inital post. It would be a little frustrating if it didn't progress but from today's News it appears they are getting the ball rolling :)

I've not threatened to take down any post. Just warning everyone to be nice to each other. I read each post and it was begining to look like it was going to get nasty between a couple of posters. No posts were removed or touched in any way.

@duncan The statement "As a moderator, I was tempted to either close or remove this discussion all together" sounds like you said that exactly and I think thats the way other people took it too? maybe next time you should be a little bit more carefull how you word your posts so that people dont get confused or offended.

That is only a part quote, including the rest of what I said, I would have thought it was clear that I wasn't going to touch any posts, no threats . You were offended by my post?

I didn't take it that way. It was a very reasonable and polite request. Most understood why that needed to be said.

ok, good. I was begining to think that I was adding fuel to the flames. the only posts I'd remove are my own. Thanks Leslie.

By saying "i was going to do something but iv decided not to" sound like you were or certainly threatening to, surely people have the freedom of speech here within reason ofcourse, if someone was out of order then ye I'd agree take it down but at the same time u can't predict what there going to say, anyway let's get back on topic do you know if anyone from the game is going to answer these people's concerns about the game??

I think what you would call bugs in a race actually make the game more realistic, getting stuck in a busy pit lane for .5 of a second or getting stuck behind another driver for half a lap is good, wheels get stuck and drivers dont move over in the real world and the faster they are the harder to pass. Qually can be a bit random but I find you are pretty much where you should be when you put all the factors together, design level, driver experience and age, recent training and so on.
If these slightly unpredictable things didnt happen and you didnt have to factor them into your planning for a race it would be a lot less interesting, for me certainly.
Hopefully the race crashes will become less now, although our league has been very reliable over the years and escaped the majority of problems (we race 3 times a week at 7.30) when it has happened it is very frustrating, but the computers where I work are new and have daily bugs and lock ups so for me iGP is very good in that respect, one more, I think the annual cost to play this game is an absolute bargain. (apologies for skimming over the last few posts)

@J B @Stanley Cooper @Duncan Cunningham Firstly I do think the new changes will make the game far better in terms of reliability, and frankly anything that stablises races and the viewer is all good in my opinion. So that's a positive. I am going to side with Stan regarding Duncans earlier post, that's why I posted myself to say not to remove this thread as it sounded like the decision was still kind of up in the air. It was getting heated at first but no rules where broken. I'm not going to lie it has taken time, but once the foundations are there(which is the most important thing) with regards to stability and espeically negating the java problems the rest of the updates should become a lot more frequent.
Scott Taylor medal 5000 9 years 269 days ago (edited 9 years 269 days ago)
Agreed, but to show JB that although occasional losses of time in the pits are a real thing that occur such things as the Monaco issue is a serious issue. I'd rather it be a controlled variable implemented in a game than taking a bug and using it as a realistic feature.
Also, I'm glad to see that some reliability updates have been made. It really gets the ball rolling and hopefully continue onwards to bring back the interest of many of the veteran players.
2. Prapes, a.k.a. Pit Rapes a.k.a. loosing out to someone in the pits because of the placements of the pit boxes. Basically the pit boxes furthest from the pit entry are always best, and people that have a pit box in front of them will often have to wait for them to get out of their pit box. The momen the guy furthest away from the pit stop goes out again the driver behind will wait, and this can cause drivers to loose up to 6 seconds if you're unlucky. There seems to be no such thing as unsafe pit release and drivers will just slam their brakes. Then don't even get me started about the wonderful monaco pit straight where there is no pit speed limit at all and drivers on the furthest end from pit entry will just fly in at the speed of light and gain 2.3 seconds on the car that is at the beginning. Making the last seasons champion almost out of contention for the win in every competitive league
Stanley Cooper medal 5000 9 years 269 days ago
@motor tycoon I totally agree with you!! lets get the bases of the game sorted and make the random stuff actual meant to happen random stuff that will bring excitement to the game not just uncontrolable bugs that cause fustration.

OK I've seen some weird shit here on the forums but a moderator saying that the bugs make it more realistic?
I love it when the 5-7th guy in Spain gets DRS, how people leave and rejoin the league to not get screwed over by the pit bugs especially monaco and I love the fact that you're stuck behind a driver that's 4 seconds per lap slower then you and there's no way to get past, but everyone behind him is passing like mad.
EDIT I had to add that my favorite one is that the guy in 2nd at the European GP ALWAYS overtakes the guy in 1st if they're on the same push level, the realistic detail there is awesome!

I'm sorry but this is EXACTLY what they said 2 years ago, and they updated servers back then as well without getting any crashes anymroe.
