I am fine with the staff retiring, but suddenly I found that I leveled up, got a new better staff and I cannot sell my staff because is retiring with nearly 50races left and I only can sack him for €25mill... that's ridiculous... Now I have 2 very pricy staff for the same position, paying both, one for nothing...

Drivers themselves choose when to retire, and they start thinking about retiring as early as 36 or 37 years old. There is variance because not everybody considers retiring at the same time.

I m not even to sell that driver I need to replace remove him other wise I will be paying him wages for next 22 races that is 2200K $ without any reason.

and over that his training output is lesser then the higher level driver is it due to his age?

Yes, age affects progress. The younger the driver, the more they progress.

guess what, my one more driver planned to Retire at young age of 37 and what's more that happened when I extended his contract that means I need to carry him for another 50 races, in case of my level going up I can't sell him in market :(

My team is running welfare program for would be retiring, come and join for your last season to my team I will keep on paying you inspite u will no more be competitive (or I can get better from u) in race.

Need some revision for sacking a Retiring Driver ........

It is true that drivers retire way sooner than staff, as Jack said here: "They retire based on a combination of morale levels and age. [...]But I can tell you that no matter how good their morale, at 75 staff will retire and at 40 for drivers. That is the hard cut-off point."

So, what happened to you is perfectly ok based on the retiring system.

I've even heard of drivers winning championship titles and retiring immediately after.

This is a race management game and sometimes things happen, though a driver retiring at 37 is not uncommon. You deal with drivers over 32, you run this "risk".

This is a good suggestion! But it creates this problem:
The driver warns you that he/she is going to retire next contract, then you sell him/her. Next manager, who didn't know the driver were retiring, buys that driver and complains because he is retiring.

I read your posts and I thought about something : Why not to automatically extend the contract of a retiring driver by 20 races (about 1 season) instead of 50 ?

Nope he is still in the team, he just doesn't want to throw in the towel. Short term 20 race contracts must go down well with him 7 times he left and came back :D

this is ridiculous, I had carried the retiring guy for more than 22 race and today he retired, I didn't hired any other driver in order to avoid extra wages, guess what system had assigned a driver who already made a mind to retire ...

Jack pls look into this I can't carry another retiring driver for 50 races, pls remove this driver and let me assign new driver or you can assign new one I will change it, I'm not opened a shelter for retiring drivers
plsssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Edit-1: already previous contract renew had given me shock as soon as I renewed him now even auto assignment as well like this.

y me that as well thrice in a row ...

and just give a look at the stats of this newly hired retiring driver, why the hell he joined igp, not a single race prior to my hiring

not all old drivers have high experience there are a few 18 years old knocking about with higher ratings.

BTW why do you have headless chickens in the team?

let their contracts go to 1 before renewing them, you are losing out on 20 races and raising their wages unnecessarily

I have no intention of disregarding the importance of your issue.

However, why didn't you hire a reserve driver to take the place of your retiring driver before the contract expired? If you had done this you'd not have had this issue at all.
