Trinary Murk Racing
Introducing Trinary Murk Racing. Ever since the departure of Jordan GP from the F1 grid, its been calling out for a rub of the green! Since making his millions shorting the Irish banks in 2008 Jamie R had been waiting for the right opportunity to waste all his money.
In April of 2015 the opportunity came along in the shape of an F1 racing car. Having started off in the aptly named "Newbie League" it wasn’t long before Trinary Murk Racing started establish themselves as a team to watch on the grid quickly winning his first Rookie Drivers Championship. It quickly became clear though that a change of direction was required.
A bit like Eddie Jordan, the wheeling and dealing started and not long after, with the help of his backers Jamie R attained subscription status and entered the British Racing League (how ironic!!) in the all new Irish livery of Green, White and Gold
In only his second full season in the Pro levels of the BRL Trinary Murk GP managed their first Team Championship, with 3 wins and 16 podiums. Piping Vertus Racing to the post in the past few races.
A bit like Jordan GP, Trinary Murk Racing didn't enjoy the best start to his Elite status, but did manage a very respectable 29 points with an all-rookie driver line up evening managing a surprise win in Turkey!!. Season 2 saw a very strong run of results, but failed to emulate their race win of season 1. They did manage a very respectable 229 points and 3rd place in the Team Championship!! Season 3 was a season to forget with only 8 points.
Season 4 however and everything changed. Jamie's decision to stick with his rookie drivers finally paid off and everything just clicked. With an impressive 11 wins, Trinary Murk dominated the Team and Drivers Championship and almost double the points of his nearest rival and a 1-2 in the drivers championship.
Since then the team have had their ups and downs but have managed a respectable 4 drivers and 4 teams championships in 10 short years. Jamie R has at one point managed a rank of 29 in the World Ranking and has firmly established himself as the number 1 Irish Team, with 4 Irish Teams in the top 20!
But this success has not come without its controversies and difficulties.
Towards the end of the 2015 league owner and legend Doug Caster approached Jamie in respect to taking over the league…. Could he manage his growing race empire of 8 team while maintaining the BRL Leagues status of one of the best out there? Jamie jumped at the chance and never looked back.
Entering his 11 Season in BRL so many questions remain unanswered. Although he might be considered one of the favourites for what may be the last season before an expected rules overhaul, will his on one season, off the next form work in the future? Can he maintain the high standards he expects of his number 1 team, while still nurturing the growing pool of talented drivers in his junior teams? And most importantly can he maintain the high standards expected of the league host of BRL with rumours of personal life upheaval in the form of a new baby on the way!
Only time will tell….
