Chris
I personally would prefer the option to turn off Auto Kers. As a league host i see a lot of complaints regards to AI Kers. i would personally support the option to disable this

That's because of the unfortunate men you have in your boat...

Censy - what’s with the criticism of the league? I’ve made my feeling pretty clear on how I feel, which you say is moaning. Al has said his feelings and Chris agrees. Do you want me to do the same back to you? You’re in a league which just has you and yourself in Elite and no one in Pro, yet you constantly “moan” about you should only get a limited amount of parts a season as you’ve run out of tokens.

Mitchell/MB - Can only one person comment from each league, or is it open to everyone? Should we get Stuffy and Forty Seven to work out which one gets to comment as they were from the same league with differing views?

Lol where did I say you couldn’t have comments from more than one member of a league?  Just pointing out its not surprising they agree with you

Why is it not surprising? As I mentioned, two other people commented who were from the same league and had differing views. Surely it’s down to personal opinion whether you agree or not and what league you’re from would be irrelevant? I think it was said by someone that I was in the minority in my league as well as this forum, so it’s a surprise to me 👍

Hello,

I'm going to share my personal opinion:

  • Instead of activate on a regular pattern it should be random, so it isn't always in the 3rd lap.

  • In my opinion would be extremely unfair and frustrating to the affected players to punish them in this way, the game is great (haha!) but managers are also students, parents, workers and have other things to do apart of manage their awesome team and drivers.

  • Improve the AI to make them able to understand when they're close to the next car but not enough to take DRS and due to that use BOOST to be in the window would be too much, the machine could beat the human.

  • I understand sometimes an inactive team boosting could cause problems to you, but you're live managing! You need to adapt to the race circumstances and changes, that's the funny part of the game in my personal opinion, if you don't want it just ask to your league members to be as active as possible, if they're active enough you can kick out them with a previous warning.

Yes, I marked this topic as "Rejected" weeks ago, sometimes it's really difficult to me to be everywhere and comment all the topics, social networks requests, coordinate mods, translators and testers... I try my best trust me! Even if I don't comment I read everything on the forum, you can ask any of the moderators. I hope this comment clarify this a bit, this said I really appreciate you all for the constructive feedback and activity.

Thanks for the response, that was my initial enquiry and then got into a nice debate with a few people around the matter (you can probably tell from the comments that I don’t mind a good debate).

AI kers always has been a problem, though there is a small amount of understanding as they don’t do it on lap 3 if they are well behind the car in front.
I get some leagues have a lot more non-attending racers than others and that the AI kers might actually effect their finishing position or scoring points, which was why the request was to give the league host the option to have it on or off for the season. That way people could choose which league they went in because of that.
I’d much rather the race be fairer for everyone and be a battle between the top teams.
The lap 3 kers is the big one, as if they’ve qualified reasonably well, it pushes them up to the points paying positions, where as if that wasn’t used, they would have usually dropped down the order and not be a problem.
The suggestion isn’t trying to stitch people up that couldn’t get to the race, it was about giving the league host the option to turn it on or off. I thought that would be a lot easier to develop in to the game than trying to make the AI bots cleverer.

Hello,

We prefer to run the game mechanics ourselves, after all we're the studio behind it, those decision should be taken from the staff, we've data, analysis and information to decide if that's a good option or not. I agree league host do an awesome work but in this matter we prefer to keep this decision in our roof. Another point is confusion, some managers may not understand why they couldn't join the race even if they arrived a few minutes after the race start or why their team didn't went to the race even without his manager, because he had to do extra hours at work, had a meet with his couple or need to pick up his son from piano lessons.

Sorry there’s confusion here. We’re not saying that the car wouldn’t run, or someone wouldn’t be able to take part in the race if they come late. All it would disable would be the AI Kers (they’d stay at 100% all race). So if someone logged on after 10 laps they’d still have 100% kers and be able to continue racing. It would be same as if I logged on to the race, and then logged back out, so my AI wouldn’t use any kers. Does that make sense?

This sounds positive, the 'random' bit. Still gives the offline managers a chance to score a point, no matter how small the chance 👍.

I'm also behind keeping most of the mechanics of the game in-house for the developers. It's their game afterall. Giving hosts too much control will lead to a whole new host of problems.
