I wish I could see what's going on in closed beta right now.

@Tolé : Don't forget a beta is first of all to work about new features and to remove existing bugs. I'm a little disappointed to have missed it but at the time of appliance I wasn't sure about my schedule and the best was to not take place of someone who had more chances to have time for it ;)
About closed beta I know people are doing a great job and open beta is coming soon, I'll say around 2/4 weeks but this is only a personal expectation, so keep patience and enjoy the game ;)

I suspect although that has to be the most perfect possible when the béta is opened. But this game is so made a success that I am impatient to see the superior version .. Shall we be entitled to our hymn in case of victory, images of podium, grid girls (lol), other installations still, current crashes, breakdowns etc. etc.?
I admit to be very impatient .....

Just to avoid building expectations too much, we haven't implemented much glitz and glamour around the events yet. We've mainly focused on addressing gameplay issues and making the game as fun to play as possible. Another big improvement is the fluidity of navigating around the game, pages load significantly faster on the new game, and being able to play on any device is really a big deal in my opinion.

After all these gameplay and functional improvements have been tested and proven to work well, and we've added all the core gameplay features we want to add and expanded to new platforms, then we'll start adding "sparkle" around the events and game translations.

First of all forgive me is this is a dumb question but here goes anyway....

When open beta testing begins will an entire league have to move to the new version or is it only the user interface that changes for each manager? In other words will it be possible for a league to have some managers managing their teams using the current interface and others using the new one?

If the entire league has to switch will the current championship be allowed to run its course before everyone switches to the new game?

Oh, and one last wish... will the forum be sorted out so that it recognises EVERY key stroke so we don't have to choose between...

I guess open beta will be run in a separate website, maybe the same than for closed beta and current website and leagues will be updated after the release, but I might be wrong.

Hi Kevin, regarding the beta... in a nutshell, what Joey said. There won't be any major migration events for the live site, it will mostly be transferred straight across. Only the systems which have completely changed (e.g. Design) will require some manual work to move across (re-assigning your design performance).

The forum doesn't recognise every keystroke? That's news to me.

I notice this on occasion too, its almost like my keyboard slow down, and its onlly this website.

On occasion I take to righting in notepad and copying it across.

The same with pasting from notepad to mail or forum, you have to add double or triple new paragraphs to get it to work... but minor detail :D

Roll on the new game.

When can we expect more specifics on the cut over? For example, if your mid season?

I use Google Chrome for everything except for race.igpmanager.com, and this hasn't been a problem for me.

Both IE and Firefox, sometimes I press a key and the keystroke doesn't register. It's a pain, I'm not a touch typist so when I eventually look up at the screen there are characters missing from the text. It's not my computer because apart from the space bar which needs a good hard push, this is the only place I experence the problem.

I hve st yped ts setence without looing at the screen, dot make  lot of ense does t
Correction... "I have just typed this sentence without looking at the screen, doesn't make a lot of sense does it?"

Sorry Jack, off topic
