New iGP: Seeking beta testers

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

There will be a big shake-up of a lot of things, and I would expect we will see new lap records, not least because of how much more powerful KERS is in the new game (if you get it up to level 20). That alone should allow for faster lap records.

@Jamie R - Yes, this is my first child, so there has been quite a shake-up to my own life too! We're managing so far, and working from home makes things easier on me, but we're also moving soon, so there's a lot going on!

Luckily we'd almost finished the game before all this, and I worked very hard in the run up to the birth to ensure that, so it's mainly finishing touches and bug fixes now, which keeps it all manageable.

Haha, close, but wrong super hero. We called him 'Thor'! Before you assume I've lost the plot, it's actually a common male name in Norway (pronounced 'Tor' ), so I took full advantage of the geography. Some famous Thor's include Thor Heyerdahl, and of course the Norse God!

He'll have a double barrel English/Norwegian surname to go with that, to keep both families happy.

The open beta will be a totally new account which will be used only for testing for as long as testing is open, and that will be deleted once testing is finished. Then the live site will update, and everything (your old team etc.) will be moved across. The live site (once updated) will continue where it was.

In other words, everything in open beta testing will be separate from the live site and deleted once it is finished. We want it to be this way so that people don't have any investment in those teams, but are trying harder to test the game, which is what the testing is for.
