Ricardo,

Thank you so much for your amazing spreadsheet, it has allowed me to avoid a lot of the 'noob annoyance' this game would have due to the learning curve. However, I do find it limited in two senses:

It is clearly optimized for 50% races and tends to leave 100% racers in the dark for their last 1 or even sometimes 2 pit stops. Of course, this can be worked around by "combining stints", but it sure would be nice if it allowed for up to 9 or even 10 stints as many 100% racers plan regluarly on running 8 stop races as certain tracks.

It doesn't acknowledge the existence of rain. I understand that rain is hard to plan around/for, but I—like I'm sure many others do—use your strategy tool during the race in order to adjust/react to changing conditions/strategies. However, when the weather gets wet, it is either useless, or the user must "hijack" one of the other tyre compounds in order to estimate how long the wets will last and how much fuel to put in before the stint.
I do apreciate that you provide this free of charge and without any real benefit to yourself, so I'm not so much demanding/asking for an update as much as I am wondering if I could get a 'source file' which is unprotected in enough ways where I could add these fields myself. I'd be happy to then provide that back to you or the community as you see fit.

Let me know what you think!

Robert,
for question 1, in box "C6", you can edit the number from 50 to 100.
with the 7 stints available, youll just have to work out how many extra laps you need for a 8th stint.
like hungary my strat ends at lap 61, but i know the value for another 9 laps ;)

Sean,

Thanks for the tips, I was already utilizing those, but great for others to know as well! Typically I have many stints of the same length back to back (I would think most people run many stints of the same length), so I'll usually "collapse" two stints into one to allow me to get all the stints on the sheet. Here's what I mean by collapse (in case it helps anyone else):

Say you have three 6 lap stints in a row, but you need a total of 8 stints, and you want to see the "whole" race on the spreadsheet. Take two of those 6 lappers and make one 12 lap stint. OBVIOUSLY you won't run a 12 lap stint there, but now you can fit your whole race on the spreadsheet and it is at least no more confusing than seeing the warning of "LAPS MISSING/NOT ENOUGH FUEL" and having to add a stint in your head to ensure your fuel strat will get you to the end.

Honestly, while this effects me personally far more often than wet weather, I'd much rather have the fields for wet tyres than have an extra row or two to catch for the 7-8 stop strats. Either way, cheers again on making a very helpful tool and good luck all in your races!

Thanks for letting me now what your feelings are about the spreadsheet.
And sorry for not answering for 42 days, but only now i saw these comments.

For Robert:
Yeah i know the spreadsheet it lacks space for input on wet weather data, but until now i had leave it out because 2 reasons.
1st is that rain won't happen very often, and you can always load a previous wet setup. And the 2nd, (and most important to me so far, maybe i'll change my mind), is i wanted the spreadsheet to fit in a A4 paper sheet, and adding space for wet data simply can't make it fit in the spreadsheet (of course if you don't print it, it doesn't matter at all).
NOTE: ok, when i have a little time, i will add space for wet weather data.

The stints: Initially i had space for only 4 stints (again because of A4 paper printing reason). Then, when SS apeared, added 2 more stints. Why? Saw some 100% races, and most guys were only using 6 stops, so i thought this number would be enough.
NOTE: ok, when i have a little time, i will add space for 2 more stints.

The spreadsheet is made for all managers, so i'm pleased that you use it, and want to make the necessary changes for all of you continue to use it.

Question:
Is there anything in the spreadsheet that isn't really necessary at all, and could be left out, in your opinion?

After scanning this thread seems there has been several versions of a help tool.
I've downloaded a few (since I was beggining to record my season data anyway), and trial them.

Ricardo seems to be both the most recent/ updated tool and you've repeatedly replied to peoples feedback which is great too.
I hope to give you some feedback in a season or two (about 36 days..)

Thanks in advance ;)

Luke

p.s. hase the game changed much in the last year that would require any change of the tool/ spreadsheet?

No, the 3.5 version was updated after the latest changes in iGP.
Try it and tell me what you think.
If the download links doesn't work, send me your email by PM.

I have a question Ricardo, which engine and fuel supplier is the fuel per lap dependent on? I currently use Murk and Donelots.

I use those too. My calculations were made based in them.

João, qual é a célula que estás a tentar alterar?
Onde deves mexer é nas colunas à frente da linha da célula B53, não em cima.
Metes o fuel estimado e ele em cima altera conforme o pneu/push level usado.

Ricardo is there no easier or handier way to input suppliers information so you can get a rough strategy guide before the race?

How does it work out fuel usage when ss and meds are both 3.9 only ss is push 1 and meds are push 3?

Hi Folks,

Ricardo seems to have been offline a long time and the links dont seem to be working. Can anyone drop me a PM with a working link or someone I can give my email to and have the file emailed to me?

Thanks
