As of a couple of hours ago, the open beta is... open!

Remember, this is just a test site, and it is not a live game launch, which is why we are not creating much fanfare about it. After a few weeks of testing this will become the live game. For now, it is just a voluntary test platform and it will not impact your live account at all.
When open beta is complete all data and accounts on the open beta will be deleted, and the game will be launched on igpmanager.com, where your old accounts will take over. So, don't become too attached to your open beta account, use it to test everything as thoroughly as possible. That's what we need to make the game as polished as possible by the final launch.
I will be writing more blogs in the weeks ahead about the new game and what will change as we migrate to the new platform. As I have already mentioned on the forum there will be changes to the subscription system and the Tokens system has replaced Reward Points to make everything much more straightforward and integrated in to the game. If you are a subscriber on the live site, rest assured that we will ensure that subscribers get better value than anyone else when the new game arrives. It is thanks to your support that we are still here, after all.
FAQ
Will the open beta use my account from igpmanager.com?
No. The purpose of the open beta is to test the game and find issues. The open beta test will be totally voluntary and run on a separate website from the live site and both will co-exist at the same time for a period, until the update is ready to go live.
Will I need to create a new team on the new iGP?

Will I need to re-build my team / drivers / staff when the new iGP Manager is released?
No. Your current team will be moved to the new iGP Manager in its entirety. The only thing you need to do is re-assign your design attributes as the new system will be totally different. Your design progress will be converted to a value on the new system and you will be able to assign it wherever you wish on the attributes of your car.
Will my results on the open beta count for anything?
Nope. All data, teams and results from the open beta website will be deleted when the update goes live.
Will I lose anything when the update goes live on igpmanager.com?
Everyone will lose the Commercial Director and some facilities (e.g. Commerce) which have been removed from the new game, but you will keep drivers, most staff and facilities. You'll pretty much keep everything you have on the new iGP.
Will my league continue on the new iGP Manager?
Yes. We have worked hard to ensure that there will be as little disruption to your leagues as possible. The worst case scenario we can foresee is that there will be one day of down-time while the update is put live, and all races are postponed on that day. Other than that, leagues should continue as if nothing happened.

Not sure if it's intended, but there doesn't seem to be a way to actually make money in this game outside of using tokens to buy money. My prize money, even when I win a race, included with my sponsor, makes less than is spent with the default cheap drivers.
Hi Tim, the beta is totally separate and does not use any data from the live site. Please read the FAQ above in this blog, as it will explain this in detail to you.
I have just tried to login with my current username and password and it responds with the username is inactive?? However my second account which is run off Facebook open automatically. Assistance please
That's right. Nobody will have unlimited tokens, and nobody will have unlimited levels. You are more powerful by playing for free for 1 week racing daily than a billionaire who spends his entire fortune on tokens.

It is obvious that with unlimited tokens for everybody, it does not change the Hall of Fame . But it will not be "unlimited tokens" for everyone that it seems to me ;)
Sure which one is no longer in 1998. It is supposed to change with the times. Here, there is no evolution. a good game is adapted so that it is "primarily" simply playable on a smartphone. A good game is converted resembling a game 90s to make a game like a game 80s... Have you evaluated the possibility of keeping the current version in addition to the beta version of smartphone ?
Philippe - We had to re-build the game from the start to make it cross-platform and as you can see it is very different. We took much feedback and many lessons from the old game, because it was not perfect. This is only the start though, and it will evolve from here. I understand if you are looking for something exactly like Grand Prix World then obviously we are moving in another direction, but we are moving with the times too. We can't remain in 1998 forever.
I was a big fan of the pc game "Grand Prix World Manager" in the 90s. I have long waited for a game like this in multiplayer. There is little, I find it, It is "Igp manager". Waoooow, I'm happy. And there, I see this game turn into .... I dont know why... I am sad, sincerely. :(
I think you made a mistake. The beta is version "phone" of igp manager. So there is the Pro PC version (the current version) and the version phone and facebook (beta). These are 2 different games too although they somewhat resembles. So the current version "Pro" remain for enthusiasts of details and strategy on PC and there will be a version "phone" of igp for gamers facebook or play easy games on their iPhone/smartphone. Did you evaluate this possibility before killing the game? Thanks Jack.
Fernando - You can also buy a level 3 driver with 1 token, and you get 30 when you join the game. Grandma is just lazy. If you are smart you will still beat her. Can Grandma manager her tyres? If she makes a mistake you will beat her. We tested unlimited token spending in the closed beta (before open beta) and the top hall of fame managers still won.
