TITLE SPONSOR LEAVES RELENTLESS RACING
_______________________________________

After much speculation as to the current situation at Relentless Racing, it seems that title sponsor 'Relentless' has withdrawn from the UK-based team. It's unknown as to how this may effect the team's resources, but when speaking to a spokesperson at Relentless, they had this to say:

"Unfortunately, since Jamie's team won the Championship 3 seasons ago, we haven't seen the same level of success. It has been a good relationship for the last 8 seasons, but we see that the team has taken a downward spiral, and we can no longer afford to support the team in the current economic crisis. We wish the team the best of luck, and hope that they continue to be one of the top level teams for many seasons to come,"

It's clear that the people at Relentless were unhappy with the team's current performance, but what is more interesting, is what the team will do now, and if the team can continue on the path of success.

"It's a devastating blow to me and the team," Says Team Principal Jamie Franklin. "We've worked so well together for so many seasons, but we can understand where they are coming from. However, I must assure all of our fans that this will not stop us. The team will continue as best as we can, and even though the team may see a change of name, and perhaps livery, we will still be the same hard-working, dedicated set of people as we have always been, and Relentless has agreed to continue funding us until the end of the season, and that's when the partnership shall end,"

Jamie ended the interview by stating that the team will unveil their new livery in China this weekend, where we are sure to see a spectacular race between the three teams that are in the running for the Championship: Rusteze, Team Waycott and Team Brady.

RUSTEZE CONTINUES CHAMPIONSHIP CHARGE
__________________________________________

The Grand Prix in Shanghai saw Rusteze take it's third win of the season, as it continues its strangehold on the sport. Its dominance is no surprise after four previous driver and constructor championships, and this season is shaping up nicely for the Romanian team to take an unprecedented fifth title. It already has created a 69 point advantage over second place team - Team Waycott, as it fights off the new, fantastic team, Team Brady Racing.

The race itself was quite processional, with Samuel Hamilton fighting with Rusteze early on in the race, but eventually succumbing to its natural speed and settling into a well-deserved third place, a long way ahead of MSGP's Illiescu and the two Relentless Racing drivers.

Itzel Santiago was able to make use of a one-stop strategy to best her team mate, bringing the tally to 2-2 for the driver's battle since Abu Dhabi last season, whilst Onishi constantly battled with Idriss RCT the entire race, and finally being able to snatch 6th place with a last ditch attempt on the final lap, just pipping him with DRS and using his entire KERS to get ahead.

Team Brady Racing had a poor result, ending in 20th and 22nd after gambling on dries for the start of the race, and then switching to intermediates rather than the faster, full wet tyre.

It's clear to see that the teams have closed up in performance since the Australian Grand Prix at the start of the season, but can anyone topple the dominance of Rusteze? Or will Bahrain see the Romanian team to exude their advantage and increase the gap to Team Waycott?

Pro race in Spain will be reviewed by me with my drivers afterwards.

After another ordinary performance in Bahrain this is what Nora Isasken had to say. "I believe our stratergy is what lets us down, we're strong in qualifying but seem to drop in the race, Tuomo has been a great help since he came to the team and has provided excellent rivalry between us. Lachlan has won 2 Team Championships and 2 Driver Championships, but i've only been envolved with one of them and I have to say he is one of the best partyers but seems to take it over the top, when its time to do work though he's very serious and always looks for ways to make us quicker. Though this hasn't always worked."

"Qualifying was good again today"said Tuomo Ahonen after completing the Bahrain Grand Prix "Again our race was our low point of the weekend, I haven't found my A game yet and its shown in my performances, unfortently when Lachlan delivers a strong car Nora and I can't deliver a strong performance, this year we have one component nearing 100% and we're still failing fairly easy objectives Lachlan gives to us, I just feel like its our fault and im looking to capilatise on that this weekend, i've grown very fond of this team very quickly but it seems it might be better I concentrate on the racing and not my relationship with the team"

BARCELONA STRATEGY OR "BATTLE OF THE TIRES"

Traditionaly, the Catalunian surface has been constantly eating the tires, especially on a hot day. With sunny weather in perspective and race being placed late in the Spring, this year won't be different and drivers will struggle to keep their tires in best condition as they battle along the fast bends of Circuit de Catalunya. Strategists' nightmare will be which is the fastest way around the 33 laps track, in terms of stops and tires. Hardest tire compound clearly lasts longer than softer one, but it takes a little while to warm up and doesn't deliver the performance right away. This could be crucial if it's used as a first stint or later on. Soft tires will deliver the speed right away, but after a short while tire will become so hot, drivers will have to caress them if they are to last, thus reducing the push and relying on it's compound adherence alone. Losing more than 60% of the useful surface will lead to every tire to lose it's temperature and thus, a severely decrease of performance. Push too hard and your tire will melt and you will suffer heavy blistering and massive loss of speed. Harder compound here is not much different as they will also have to be taken care of. Good news is they can be abused for a bit longer and they last up to half the distance. We saw here in the past teams managing 12 laps on soft tires as others blew their nice shiny option compound after just a few laps. With so many variables unknown, this is one for the scratching heads. One stop ? Two stops ? One compound or the other ? Mixed compounds ? Shorter, longer stints ? Which tire is best to be used first ? Only time will tell. With no rain perspective on the horizon, this is one tough decision.

"Barcelona delivered a suprising race earlier today,it lived up to its name and delivered one hell of a struggle on tyres,it was a battle on and off the track both mentally and phsically"

Nora Isaksen, P1 , 5th 0:13:916
" Well Tuomo said he wanted us to capilatise and we did just that, again our race stratergy let us down but not by much this race, we haven't been able to manage our tyres well lately but we did that here, the other drivers were dropping like flies and I was happy that I wasn't one of them for once. Design is getting better and that might allow me and Tuomo to drive more aggresively on the tyres, of course we might see that happen later in the year, at the moment we'll concentrate on trying to get some points and moving upto elite, unfortently it looks like that won't happen this season. Relentless Juinor and Simparts Racing have been very strong early in the season so it will be interesting to see if anyone can catch them. I'm coming off a championship from another league last season and I feel as i'm just starting to realise I should be trying to defend my championship, 14 seconds of the leader in 5th just shows how hard everyone was working, the field was so tightly packed it was amazing to be a part of it. I'll be going for the podium next race."

Tuomo Ahonen, P2, 8th 0:25:852
"So qualifying as usual was us near the front,or at the front this time and a better race performance in Barcelona, Lachlan gave us a great car this weekend and we finally replied, it wasn't a podium finish but thats going to become very difficult to actually get on it, Simparts and Relentless jnr have been all over the podium this season and I feel we may see some other teams start to pick on the podium at Hungary back as we should all have caught up on points,we've had one other winner than the 2 dominant success' and that was laval racing, everyone's got alot more experience than us so i'm happy that i'm able to mix it with the big boys. We've got Monaco next and Relentless suits this place, I think we may get on the podium here, we've seen with the years go by anything goes at Monaco, i'm looking forward to the season if it stays like this"

8 Pound Balls, 3rd, 5th 8th.
"Well we saw an amazing race take place just a little earlier and it should continue right through whats left of the season." Heres what Lachlan had to say about the Barcelona race" The guys down at 8 pound balls did an amazing job this weekend,we're looking for our drivers to perform and we got them to, that I find is a team at work, unfortently we have simpart and relentless at the front every race and if they weren't there it would've been a 1-4 finish.I'll be looking for them to keep this form into the prestigious Monaco race"

Monaco
As prestigious as it is Monaco is another race that will destroy the drivers, this is where fit drivers will be determined and the unfit ones destroyed, we may be looking at the front runners lapping the backmarkers a bit but anythings possible. Whatever the out come is its going to be one amazing race.

Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoyed the coverage of the Barcelona race and then our interviews with 8 Pound Balls afterwards, we hope to see you next time at Monaco in a day's time.

HIGH DRAMA OFF THE TRACK AT MONACO

In breaking news it has come to light that the Pro series leader and number 1 driver for Simparts, Dervishi has been sacked from the team.

His departure came directly after a lack lustre finish at Monaco, but officials from Simparts are saying that his departure has nothing to do with his recent form.  Team Manager Brendon Avery was not able to be contacted for comment, and team officials say they have not seen him in the last 24 hours.

However Dervishi's Engineer was willing to talk to us and tell us this incredulous story.

He started, "On the night before the race, the drivers and the team management, including the Team Managers 20 year old daughter, were all out for dinner together" he said.  "The boss's daughter had a few and anyway ended up going back to Jeton's room for the night, which was next door to mine.  Some old people from down the hall must have complained about the noise and so the hotel management contacted the boss to sort it out.  When he arrived he found Jeton in the sack with his daughter"  He went on " I was asleep but others said they heard gun shots go off... the police were called and they took the boss away"  Other witnesses have confirmed hearing the Team Manager shouting obsceneties and raging at Dervishi before being taken away by the police, but no one could confirm that gun shots were fired.

Local Police have confirmed that Mr Avery was indeed retained overnight, but is expected to be released in the morning with no charges laid.  Rumours are flying that Prince Albert stepped in to get him released.

When Simparts was asked who will replace Dervishi as driver, Team technical director Makar Zhovtonis said they would be asking thier test driver Dimitris Papakonstantinou (affectionately known as D P within the team) to step up and take Dervishi's place.

So expect a changed lineup at Istanbul with the rookie DP, taking his first start in a F1 race and series leader sitting on the sid of the track without a team and without a drive.  We are expecting to see Simparts Championship lead take a serious pounding as other rivals team race for the top spot

Alin,
she wont date a 42 year old oager, she wants a young good lookin' future husband, like Tuomo Ahonen.

"shes hot" is all Tuomo had to say when he saw her. Of course that was before he met current girlfriend Isabella Delamora. The couple have been praised as being one of the best pairs around.

WHAT'S 8 POUND BALLS UPTO
Rumours are starting to spread and alot have been confirmed that 8 Pound Balls has been designing a new race car. The car is part F1 rumorists have said but it resembles nothing of the whole car. Chief Designer Anton Bauer said this when asked, " The car has been purely made for racing, endurance in particularly. The car is a cross of a V8 Supercar, F1,LMP1,LMP2 and a Fighter Jet. The car is built to be quick, have low tyre wear and low fuel consumption. The car has 2 engines one for the front, one for the rear, they can be used both at once or seperately. The whole way the car is designed means if only one engine is operating then it's end will be the one the tyres are being heated up and loosing grip, if you use both engines the car increases speed slightly and has more grip. The car is very lightweight but we don't have any engines in it yet, we'll be looking for fast lightweight engines similar to the ones we use in our F1 car." "It looks fantastic" said Lachlan when he saw what his team had done " I gave them my design and they said it will be tricky but they'll try, well they must've tried, ITS FANTASTIC. We'll be reveiling it closer to the start of next season to 5 races in. After we sort out a few problems and test it we'll be ready, we may even unveill it before next season starts."

So is the car what 8 Pound Balls thinks it is? will it live upto their hopes? and when will we see this beast?

UPDATE
MURK TO SUPPLY ENGINES,SEASHELLS FUELS AND BRIDGEROCK TIRES
Each supplier has said it will make new components for these.
Murks engines will supply more power and have better fuel consumption(with turbocharge and boost aswell as the seperate KERS), Seashells fuels will be easy, cruise and push and each having a better performance than now,its believed that the current fuel will be mix1/easy and Briderocks tires will have a larger operating range, longer lasting grip and the tyre itself will give much better performance. Results from testing at Great Britain will be posted after the race.

WHEN'D THEY TEST IT
BRITAINS TEST DONE, FANTASTIC RESULTS
'We had 3 qualifying sets (without KERS or BOOST), each different one were different mixes.
Then we had race laps with KERS BOOST and even had the supercharger enabled.

Heavy Security at track testings, we are told by most of the 8 pound balls staff that the car is similar to a jet fighter x F1 mostly, as these are the primary shapes and people who have seen the car haven't taken a photo, so gathering what we've been told this is what we think it looks like.
