My Security tab looks like this on my Java control panel...I re-installed the latest version of Java too. So none of these settings show up. Any alternative methods like through Chrome settings or are these the only ones?

Are you sure you're on Java 7 Update 51? Also, what OS? It's obviously some type of Windows, but is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Jim and I have missed you in the races, Stéph.

This picture shows exactly what the notification looks like when I try to open the Timing +Live Control race viewer for any race on iGP and I'm running a Windows 7 64-bit OS. I will likely try re-downloading an older version of Java if worst comes to the worst, since their last version before the current update 51 didn't block all unverified applications.
Thanks for inquiring about my unique situation though James, I noticed that my absence is taking a heavy toll on my race results lately haha

UPDATE: It seems as though the automatic update that Java decided for me to install wasn't even the version 7U51 so I went to manually install the most recent java update and I can now access the proper Security tab in the Java control panel. Everything is good :)

Cool beans, Stéph, hope to see you Monday.

It seems that Java's autoupdate on 64-bit Windows systems doesn't grab Update 51 by default; you're the second case I've seen of someone on 64-bit Windows say their autoupdate didn't yield the correct version. Hitting the Java site and downloading the correct version manually seems to work (uninstall current/all versions before you do this for best results).

We've already got the certificate signed now, it's just being installed by our Java developer. It should hopefully be done in a couple of hours, and certainly tomorrow everything should be sorted.

Once that's done these workarounds will no longer be necessary.

Well, it still says unsigned application on my win7 64-bit system

Is their any way to test this other than 5 minutes before my next GP?   Would be nice since last night I was trying everything in an effort to correct this.   All I was able to do was watch it on the mobile app an when seeing my drivers go backwards was very frustrating.

Spectate a race, it wil load everything.

In the menu IGP > Spectate, then choose a race who has already started.

I had a delay in getting access to the race viewer last night. Glad I finally managed to get in, went on to win so I'm happy to have a delay in the future haha

I wanted to chime in on this thread and let users know that if you are using MacOS you will almost certainly have issues with loading the viewer/Java.

I use a PC and a Mac for iGP, depending on where I am (at home, on couch, at office, etc). With a Mac, this Java update is a MUCH bigger pain in the arse than on a PC.

Java will uninstall itself after every browser session. If you close your browser and try to go back and load Java/iGP-Viewer, you wont be able to. You will need to reinstall Java each time you want to play iGP. It's something the OS has been doing automatically because of a day-one vulnerability in the latest version(s) of Java. Java will continue to be disabled automatically until Apple finds the applet to be safe running in your browser. Sucks!

For MacOS users:
Support Thread at Apple: Java plug-ins not working
Solution: Remove Java 7 and reinstall Java 6 for the time being. Instructions here: How to re-enable the Apple-provided Java SE 6 applet plug-in and Web Start functionality

And an article: Homeland Security warns to disable Java amid zero-day flaw

This would explain what some users are describing with a black screen in Chrome (If they are MacOS users). I am not sure how this affects PC users.

After the java update 3/4 days ago, started my problems with 2D.

1° - It takes time to open (3x/4x more than was). Subscribers in my league they say are having the same problems.

2° - After a few laps the cars seem to give small jumps (seem hiccups).

3° - Begins to lag and will be getting slower until it blocks (like yesterday on my league race).

4° -  We updating the page several times during the race.

3/4 days have passed since the update and only gets worse every day.

What's wrong with this... or with java?
