Trust me. I have bank-end experience with games like this. There's no way money "earned" from it is a problem.

These generate cash like a cow. Usually because small micro purchases add up fast.  Like I said I've spent over $100 USD in a month many of the purchases were .99 4.99 and a 9.99 here and there. It happens because you don't know your commit level to the game until after the initial spend. 

So its a mega cash cow and that's only fair. It's a masterpiece and the founder and devs deserve to earn big from such an amazing and in-dept game. 

But what they did today will KILL revenue. If they don't reverse this in the next 24 to 48 hours. Then, just watch, they will when the begin to notice the drop in overall $$$ and be forced to. 

At the end of it, small micro purchases is where the BIG earnings are at. Crowdfunding. But with these prices they are slashing the base to probably less than 5% who can afford this and the 1 or 2% who will actually stick around and generate them income. 

Devs, do yourself a favor revert this. 

Encourage micro purchases. The range should be 1 to 20 tokens max for drivers. Or just go back to the old system. It was not broken. Apply that same old system to the Offices for staff and your done. 

Don't over-complicate this game please. If it takes more and more time to manage. They will also be a massive hit to one of the biggest selling points... Time management.

As for why the new drivers are so expensive, Jack has a family and needs to bring money home - token selling is an aspect of this. 


With all due respect this is not increasing, this is multiplying.


The reason for that is scouting being now for free. Every 48 hours a list worth 6 token prior of the update is now generated with no cost to find the next dream driver, given some patience. Of course it's more expensive now if the first T20 would've been good enough, but for everyone looking for certain traits even 50 token can be a bargain, but needs time.

Exactly and already an Achilles heal of this game is new player experience. It's a roll of the dice depending on the league joined. ( and a SLEW of other reasons) 


So to make changes that will guarantee of more abandoned accounts would be a shot in the leg for IGP

I like this.

But it needs to be complemented with some other ways of producing coins. As of right now, at least 17 days are needed to gain 50 coins.

calm down guys calm down .... it is useless to get angry so much ... there is no difference between drivers if they are talented 20 and have all the driving characteristics at 20 change only a few cents in qualifying based on height .... so there is no need to change drivers every season… pilots who are 40 go like pilots who are 18… maybe that was the thing to change along with the rest of the game play. this update is just to make Jeck say in interviews that he cares about players' opinions. good game

Well if Jack really did care about propels opinions then he will be lowering the Tokens needed for staff/drivers right now

I would say getting a new driver from the youth academy is cheaper now than before. It used to cost 1 Token to scout one, and I needed easily 50-100 tries before I got a T20 190+ driver and then still 15 Tokens to promote him. Now just need to watch every 48h to the new free refresh and use 50 Tokens when a good one is available.

Depends, at lvl 20 it's not hard to scout a T20, but my first pairs of T20 drivers did cost more than 100 token in scouting as most drivers appearing were not close to T20 at lower levels.

Until now it was a lottery, a token per try/ticket. Sometimes luck brought a early hit, sometimes it was raking up misses. Now it's 50 token max depending on level, luck just influences the time until one appears in the list.

Personally it’s not a big deal, the game is a business after all. What I’m hoping for is that it does not create the usual bugs for game play.

For lower level managers this staff scouting has no purpose whatsoever, transfer market is way cheaper. This needs tweaking

An entire team can be recruited through the HQ now, which is a big shift in the balance of the game. In order for Transfers to remain relevant then transfers has to be the cheapest way to buy, followed by the academy, which indirectly saves cash and tokens via lower costs and wages, followed by editing directly (e.g. editing CD strength and weakness). That's exactly how it is priced, to land in the middle of the range of options.

For new players, youth are cheaper now than they used to be (under 15 Tokens to buy, 0 cost to scout them). In the middle levels they are 20-30 Tokens to buy, still with 0 cost to scout them. For 2/3 of the life of the game there has basically not been much change, and in each case you can reduce the prices further if they are less than perfect.

The transfers system is also being revised (WIP, not yet released) and will refresh every few minutes. Prices will not be changing on transfers, and there will be an abundance of auctions available, plus we will be returning tokens if you don't win an auction when it's done. In other words, once all the updates we're working on are finished, it all balances out.

We expected some level of response as we've gotten in this thread from level 15-20 players, who understandably look at the price on the button and can see it's higher. However, we know for a fact people were sometimes spending 100 Tokens in the old system to recruit the perfect level 20 driver, and that the overall average even at level 20 was much the same as where we've set the price now.

I am level 8 and I think I will never use the headquarter to hire staff. I change level every few races, I have to change my staff each time my level increases. While I won't reach level 18/19, I think the headquarter will Be useless and It will remain level 1.

I've had three T20 drivers waiting their turn to be promoted, trained and sold, or kept and raced, when the time is right. Are they all going to disappear at the next refresh? Tomorrow?

This change will mean I won't be selling any low level T20s for new players any more, not for 50 coins a piece.

The one thing I’m going to ask is to bring back the confirmation button when buying drivers and add it to staff. It is easy to accidentally click on buying one of them when you didn’t want to now

What if that is not the reason the drivers' transfer market is not relevant?
Could the reason it is not relevant (and still won't) be not the price, but the fact that it (still is) more efficient to train and raise your own drivers and use them for the entire duration of their peak ability?

We expected some level of response as we've gotten in this thread from level 15-20 players, who understandably look at the price on the button and can see it's higher.

You can't possibly think this affects low-level accounts less than high-level.

In a game where you earn 3 coins per day (if you're lucky enough to be in such a league and were advised on how to choose your sponsors properly) and where you have to upgrade HQs (that take between 2 and 4 days per each level per each building), and until you get to a competitive place (at least level 18) you must change your staff every 3-ish levels, could there maybe be a good idea to also spend coins so you catch up to the field instead of staying weeks/months at the back (not middle) at the back of the field?






My question is this: Are there very soon planned to be launched and implemented other sources of income in terms of coins?

If the answer to the above question is Yes then the update is half-decent and understandable. I do agree parts of the HQ were useless.

If the answer to the above question is either No. or Those aren't necessary. then the only two explanations for the updates are either:
A) Greed; either (and I certainly hope it's this next one)
B) Lack of perspective and understanding of causality by the people in charge.

Its all about bringing in the dollar. The game is massively flawed and i play it because of it's issues.

Now my staff pics have disappeared with the new update folks.. Oh well another issue, 

Can't edit the appearance as a consequence, nice one guys..

Fix what needs fixing instead figuring out new ways to make it pay to play.

Make the cars go around each other please... Its a race against a field of ghosts..

 id like to thank you for the acknowledgment that it isn't balanced as of now. I think not releasing the 2 updates together was a huge oversite
