The only reason i can see why people didn't mind Jason staying (i saw an issue with it as he stomped the race i wasn't there, and each race he was, he would get top 3 every race pretty much), was because in the end, he didn't win. even though, if he could have been at every race, he would have stomped it due to his car %.

The same will be for Sam, until he starts using his car % well. people will be like. yay ok, let him stay, until he just goes to pole every race and wins everything.
Sam's car is still way out infront of everyone else, like 10-15% ahead of everyone is pretty large margin to say he doesn't have a car advantage anymore. clearly he just hasn't used it right.

Thank you Adam.

If someone had an 80% car for the start of the season, it would be close to 89 by now though wouldn't it?

his car is 91%!!!!!!! he has an advantage! Its not only the advantage this season but he can also design for next season and have a better car again. The maximum someone could have by now with an 80% car at race one is 89% but from spying on other cars its alot less than that. Its not only the 10% advantage hes got but also his next season development he had half a seasons plus the few % he had since joining us as hes clearly got it set to next season because his car keeps going up 1% at a time.

I dont know. I remember jason said he could have his car lowered by jack last season. But i doubt he would want to do that as it would mean doing it for almost every league when someone new joins. Other than kicking him (Dont do that) I could only suggest running ferrari engines or seashells fuel. haha

My own personal opinion is that i dont think car %'s should really matter, as if a person starts with a really high % car, they will struggle in the following season. In a league where relegation is not an issue i believe a rule could be paramount, but with people having to deal with relegation i think a player should not be dictated to how they run thier team. At the end of the day i believe that a lot of people find it difficult to get a good car without breaking the rule. I mean what would happen if someone got an 80% car? no doubt someone would complain, even though it is in the rules. A good example of my point is chris from Season 26/27. He had a great car for season 26 and did well, but paid the price the following season which resulted in his relegation. I as well did the same thing that season knowing i would miss the start of the season 27. I nearly got relegated too. If someone wants a 100% car one season which will follow with a 31% car the next season i think it should be up to them :-)

Lewis' point is that he won't have a bad car next season Neil, in fact he will have a great car - Probably higher than all of you.

I think the design jump from 80% if you are full on this season is only 5 or 6%, so 86% at most by Malaysia would have been the maximum possible.

Don't forget he didn't just start this season with a high car, the car came from another league where next seasons car has already partially developed. Sam had the same design % as I did in iWS, which I can only assume means he was following the same design process. If that is true then I would be safe in assuming he will already have a 35-45% car for next season. I continued to work 100% on this season and my car is already up to 100% this season and 39% next season, so if he switched over to next season earlier (which I assume he did if he has not reached 100% yet?) he could possibly be even higher than 40% already.

How about you all chill out a bit? I'm not deliberately trying to gain an advantage over you all. My car is not already at 40% for next season, its nowhere near that.

I told you my car was over 80% as soon as i joined, i said i'm open to missing races, i wasn't even online for 2 of them! lol what more do you want??

I play this game for fun and i joined this league for fun, but so far, fun it is not.

FYI I don't give a crap Sam haha :D I was just helping Lewis explain his point. I joined mid season last season with a 100% car so I'm not one to talk xD!

Sorry, I didnt mean to get at you. Im just getting at the fact we have a rule. Which at the 1st chance we have to do anything about it. We just let it slide. Makes no sense to me.

Its like Edwin said what punishment can we use to keep things fair? The best thing i can think of is making someone change supplier or something along them lines. I also said before not to kick you which would be one of the other things that could have been done.

I just dont want a rule which only stands if you are winning races. I dont want to hear "O hes really slow anyway so it dont matter" or "he misses most of the races anyway so it dont matter" when it comes to enforcing a punishment.

Ok. So since this is difficult to police & without an agreed penalty, I vote that we remove the rule. I don't like it, but I am not sure what else we can do

I am not part of the league anymore, but I feel sorry that so few are actually interested in Edwin's efforts to make this an everybody's league, where everyone has a say and where decisions are taken together. IMO, it was a good rule, it's like in real life, no one has a perfect car from the start and this way, everyone can push each season, not just every 2 seasons.
