I absolutely agree with Richard. DRS is one of the few things i wouldn't have touched, it was perfectly balanced imo. It allowed good cars that had a bad qualy to have a chance at coming back and having a chance to win by the end of the race, and made very close races; not to mention that if you were leading a pack of cars you needed to think about what to do: "do i try to catch that lapped car? do i let myself be overtaken by other cars and then get back in front in the next few laps?"

Right now, qualifying on p1 gives you a 90% chance of winning, at worst. You just need to pull away on the first two laps and then it's a gg (unless your strat sucks). And even if other drivers catch you it doesnt really matter, because DRS is almost useless and people will have used much more boost than you, so in the end you'll just pull away anyway. It's almost like having wet races 24/7, except it's not always raining.
Lower levels may have suffered with the previous DRS power, but that's why they're lower levels: they need to keep working till they reach max level (plus its not like lower levels have more chances to win now). And I am so sure that literally no one at level 20 will defend this DRS nerf unless they want easy wins just by getting a good qualy rng.

tl;dr: p1winslol, lower levels wont have more chances to be close to the top than they used to, races are the same as wet races now aka wayyy more boring. I'd say that's pretty concerning.

Exactly, I’m LVL 18 and this annoys me that all the work I’ve put in to start to catch the leaders has been invalidated as in one fell swoop I’m almost as fast, and I think a lot of lower levels team would agree, upwards of LVL 15

It has actually screwed better managers now, we lost a really good title fight in my league cause second in the championship got stuck behind 6th for half the race (at Suzuka) and couldn't claw his way up to first leaving the last 2 races as "if 1st does'nt f*** up, hes won"

Give it a few days, the cream will rise to the top. The above post was very much tongue-in-cheek, over the coming few weeks I have no doubt Jack and the team will sort things out.

There was much the same reaction from some members of the community when the last big update happened in August 2016. A vocal minority suddenly developed 20/20 hindsight and became experts in video game development. Within a few weeks things settled down, the better managers studied their data, worked out the best way to play the revised game and suddenly it was as if nothing had changed because they continued to be champions.

I postponed my league races for a week to give the iGP Team time to iron out the game breaking bugs, allow all the managers in my league to test the new features (in QRs) and spend quality time with their families over the Easter weekend. Simples.
