A lot of the same quesitons keep being asked so here are some answers!

When will open beta begin?
Some time next week (18th - 24th April). Stay tuned to igpmanager.com for when it becomes available, or follow us on Twitter of Facebook.

Will the open beta use my account from igpmanager.com?
No. The purpose of the open beta is to test the game and find issues. The open beta test will be totally voluntary and run on a separate website from the live site and both will co-exist at the same time for a period, until the update is ready to go live.

Will I need to create a new team on the new iGP?
&
Will I need to re-build my team / drivers / staff when the new iGP Manager is released?
No. Your current team will be moved to the new iGP Manager in its entirety. The only thing you need to do is re-assign your design attributes as the new system will be totally different. Your design progress will be converted to a value on the new system and you will be able to assign it wherever you wish on the attributes of your car.

Will my results on the open beta count for anything?
Nope. All data, teams and results from the open beta website will be deleted when the update goes live.

Will I lose anything when the update goes live on igpmanager.com?
Everyone will lose the Commercial Director and some facilities (e.g. Commerce) which have been removed from the new game, but you will keep drivers, most staff and facilities. You'll pretty much keep everything you have on the new iGP.

Will my league continue on the new iGP Manager?
Yes. We have worked hard to ensure that there will be as little disruption to your leagues as possible. The worst case scenario we can foresee is that there will be one day of down-time while the update is put live, and all races are postponed on that day. Other than that, leagues should continue as if nothing happened.

Can I "pay-to-win" with Tokens?
No. I have addressed this directly and in more detail on the open beta forum.

Some things from the old game are missing, have you removed them or are they just delayed features?
Which features will be re-added has been detailed in this thread on the open beta forum.

Will seasons restart for the new iGP? Would be pretty weird if a team was bossing it in the older system but got caught out on the switch and lost the championship

Good question, but wouldn't it be worse if they were winning the championship and then it got reset? They will have a fair chance to win still, if they get their new design right.

The leaders will likely be winning because they have more design points than anyone else, and that will also convert in to the new system. It's a common sense system, where you'll want downforce for high-speed circuits and good handling for street circuits for example. Managers will need to look at what remains on the calendar and judge the challenge.

And, then there's the famous saying: it's the same for everyone. So I think it's fair.

OK, fair enough, I'd feel hard done by if that happened to me; particuarly if it was the closing stages of the season and I'd already confirmed the championship lol

People will be able to create legues in open beta and define race times. It will be a lot like the live site, but runing on a separate URL until the live site is updated.

Hi Jack,

So on the Open Beta I will be able to create a new league, and we will all populate it directly into Rookie? So only 16 teams from live league will be able to move sign up for the new league?

How long will the Open Beta run, approximately?

When we go LIVE your migrating everything across and the season will reset with people getting design points based on what lvl of design they had when migration takes place?

That's right. It's for testing only and all the data will be wiped when the open beta is finished.
How long will the Open Beta run, approximately?

As long as it takes to resolve any issues we encounter and until we feel satisfied that it is ready to go live. It's impossible to say with any precision, but a few weeks at most.

The season will not reset. It will continue from where it was, possibly with a race postponement to account for the deployment period. Otherwise, your understanding is correct.

Jack, should I make a new account instead of using old accounts to do open beta?

I think Jason we are all signing up with new accounts for the beta.

Only when the new game goes full live will we be using our existing accounts.

I tried to answer this in the original post, but maybe I was not clear. You wil have to make new accounts on the open beta, as it will be a separate website. Nobody can use their old accounts on the open beta. When the open beta is finished all accounts on it will be deleted, and then the live site will be updated. Then, your old accounts will be on the new game, as it will be live on igpmanager.com.

I hope that makes sense!

Yes, a few facilities are going away, and one of them is commerce.

That's not an example Jack just put there for fun. It really is gone!

Will there be any overhaul of the Young driver academy in "new iGP"?
Now it's useless, because you don't know how good or bad a driver will be when he is "ready". And even if he is decent, it takes two seasons of racing before he can be good. Would be useful if one could develop young drivers in similar ways as with the other driver trainings.

Design and the cutover to live.

So I understand that concept of the cut over for the "current season car". You will get points based on what % you car is for this season.
How is it working for the work you have done on "next seasons car"?

Thanks

Anybody with questions about what changes in the new iGP should wait for Open Beta :)

I'm just suggesting for the euforia...should be a discount for subscription fee so that will gain the momentum for the "new" things like me (interest to have subs but need some kind of promo code :)
