Blunion : How did you find my car for next season ? It is still in development ! That's called illegal spying ..
And I agree with Jack, if you like or don't like something in beta, at least tell us what it is and why ?

Very sad that IGP manager is transforming to IGP toy for kids with phones.

I can only help as much as the feedback helps us. Not at all, in this case. Some specifics would be nice.

Having almost completed the first season heres my thoughts... The new game is most definitely that, a new game. If the branding was removed I wouldn't have thought there was any connection between the two.

Playing with an open mind and not looking to the past, there are a few things I'd like to change. I don't like the car set up options at all. The simplified set up for suspension, wing and gearbox is way to limiting and in just one season I'm bored of it. Both drivers always want the same settings. So far I've not been able to view a race, so I can't comment on that, but if race attendance is a key part of succeeding then I think its only fair to give people the option to preplan strategies (push levels etc) before the race.

To my (albeit simple) mind it feels that IGP has lost its direction ever so slightly. As it stands its neither a managers sim nor a racing sim, but somewhere in the murky waters between the two.

I definitely like new design system to build cars by characteristics. Another parts - training, practice, repair are very poor and annoying. But more important - races experience. Symbolic signs for tyre wear, fuel consumption do not make real picture for adequate race strategy  Please bring back digital displaying for instant tyre wear and fuel consumption! I understand that balancing all parts of new game is very difficult, but I hope community feedback will help you in that.

Pre-race push level settings will be added soon.

Could you be more specific? I find the training more interesting. For example, the ability to train up reserve drivers within a team and bring them to the race seat. Things like that weren't possible before.

Since open beta began we've seen several new pages of data added to the game, and this will keep coming. I can only ask for patience and feedback as the depth is expanded. We can also develop faster on the new platform than we were able to on the old one, and that is already showing.

We will definitely be adding more telemetry and data, but as I've said many times this is just the beginning of the new game. The old game had 5 years of development, and the new one is just beginning its journey. It was a complete rewrite of every single piece of text you see in the entire game, and every page. This has enabled us to support everything from a mobile phone to a desktop PC, and the entire game can be translated for multilingual support. In the long-term, these things will start to make a lot of sense as the community grows. At the moment, it was always going to be a bit of an abrupt transition phase.

Training of reserve drivers is good if you have a lot of money for their keeping... Having only three characteristics to change while practice is very small to be interesting. Maybe the possibility to change design characteristics before each race would be interesting feature. The same with repair - fixing 2 or 3 abstract parts like a poking finger in the sky.. Old repair system is more real I think.

Repairing or replacing parts in the new iGP is not less "real". Most everybody by level 5 is repairing all parts on their cars all the time with the old repair system.

The reason it has changed now is because many managers don't want to sign in every day to reassign designers to different parts, dealing with the shortage of designers. The shortage of designers exists because many folks in 2-car leagues always replace their cars components each race, which uses up the majority of staff allocation (68 engineers and 48 mechanics). Thus, for many managers, it's improved the conditions. We are no longer constrained to managing and balancing the allocation of staff. Design is dependent upon how many points are produced via the Design facility and we can replace parts as often as necessary or desired without worrying how to stay on top in the design race and keeping the cars at top performance. This is a much better solution for the community in the end, in my opinion.

So....

Can anyone explain how Jo Mc is leading the Beta HOF in terms of drivers and team championships with EIGHT of each. No other manager has more than one which is what I would expect after only a single season.

It's been explained numerous times on the beta forums --- you should go read the official posts there!

Thank you for the informative answer. It would probably have taken less time to actually answer the question.
So please could a more helpful person tell me how I get to the beta forum?

You can get there by following the link on the home page when you sign into the beta iGP.

If you have a 64bit system try this https://www.waterfoxproject.org/#develop
I found it to be more stable & loads beta faster than Firefox yet it is basically the same thing so don't know why it's working better :|
