If you have a 64bit system try this https://www.waterfoxproject.org/#develop
I found it to be more stable & loads beta faster than Firefox yet it is basically the same thing so don't know why it's working better :|

If the game is going to be properly launched in a couple of months then a proper solution needs to be found so the game runs properly in the majority of browsers on lower spec'd machines. Theres plenty of folks out there with cheap netbooks that are a couple of years old and they're going to face the same problems... I don't buy the computer limitations as the overall reason as I've not had an issue with any other website regardless of what I'm doing (HD video etc all run fine as do the various games that my daughter has tried)

Granted things are not running as well as they should be, but like all other Games that are in the app store for Android google play will allow you to add the app to your browser in PC and it should run on everything from Chrome book to WinXP even if they don't have webgl capability in my opinion.

Jack - I'm sorry to say that having set up a new account on the Open Beta Test to get an idea of what we have to look forwards to, I'm very disapointed to see that the iGP Team seem to have in many ways turned their backs on the existing loyal subscribers (those players responsible for getting this game off the ground in the first place), and instead gone with a "Free to Play - Pay to Win" system which means you can only ever be truely competative if you are prepared to make in-app purchases and buy tokens left, right and centre. Unfortunately, I know I speak on behalf of many of the family and friends that I have introduced to the game when I say that  won't be continuing knowing that to win against other players we will have to continually pay money to top up tokens as they are now such an integral part of the game.

However - and hear me out - would you consider keeping the "old" version of the game running in its current format in parallel to the new one when it goes live? You could run iGP in such a way that all new accounts can only be created in the new game and that becomes the game recognised by the vast majority of players, but those accounts currently running on the existing game can keep going in what would essentially become a "Legacy iGP".

Without wanting to sound like I'm issuing you an ultimtum, I would happily keep playing on the current game and subscribing my £20/year, but as aforementioned I won't be prepared to start a game where the person who spends the most wins. I guess I'm starting to see how Sauber/Manor feel in real F1. Afterall, I have only jut resubscribed a month or so ago, I've essentially lost that £20 as soon as this version of the game gets closed.

Jack - thoughts? More to the point, do any other players agree?

It's still premature to compare the games, with the new one being developed so rapidly up to launch. The home page for example isn't even there, it's just a lump of text about data and a changelog. That's certainly removing a huge amount of "feel" from the game. Spies aren't implemented yet either, and so on.

Development is going to continue after launch, and it will be faster on the new game because we designed it with that in mind. We want to be able to develop it, and the old game was tying our hands due to the technology and everything stopping us from being able to do so. Even so, the old game had 5 years of development which is a huge head-start. The new one was a complete rewrite and is just finding its legs. We're finding out what can be improved by playing it and listening to your feedback, and there will be lots we can improve while it's getting going.

I think we've actually heard most of the constructive feedback now, which is that depth and/or strategy in setups and design is improved and more data be made available. All of this would have happened anyway, but we know which priority order to put them in now based on the feedback we've received.

We're working on all these things you know about, and some which you don't. It's not where we are now that's important, but where we're heading. That's what I'm really excited about. The technology needed to be rebuilt from the ground up, and it has been, now we can focus on features and balancing gameplay fully. We're very motivated by the feedback we receive, positive or negative, so please keep it coming. We're only a three man team but we're giving it all we have got. :)

I sincerely prefer the old version. In the new game I don't like the use of tokens, the style of the graphics, the old version seems to be more professional.

Is you selling that anytime soon Mark? I would buy it, turn it into Win10Pro 64bit and install 4GB RAM :) Then sell it for double the price hehe

In Advanced settings in Firefox/Waterfox use the override automatic cache management. Double it or make it 1024MB the same as default IE settings
It's not the answer but it will help while Darren is working on a fix.

Nothing wrong with Intel Atom it's 3times faster than Intel Pentium & 4times faster Intel Celeron processors and they can run up to 6GB RAM

LOL! You're right, it is an itty bitty one, but the specs aren't that unusual for an entry level netbook that's a couple of years old. Whilst I get that many folks have much faster machines, there are still going to be lots of people out there with this kind of spec that can't access the new game, and that's a real shame, especially as I've not run into any problems with other sites.

I'm also on entry level netbook as will be a lot of people, the game needs to work on anything as people having bought tokens will not be best pleased when then find out they then can't actually play the game they just spent money on.
