3D app i reinstalled, downloaded the update and had first 3D race not so long ago now and i have to say in all honesty Jack... 

...it was perfectly fine.  

Cars 3 wide all fighting for position, could drop to PL1 and get an opponent to give away DRS, no running through each other as far as i could tell, no glitches or other issues from my end other than my alt team for some reason was on med-hard and hard-med when i was sure i put them on soft-med but i can't be 100%.  

but yeah other than that for me it was fine.. a couple of others had issue with just seeing grass (3d-mobile) so they had to switch to 2D. 

Umm, is there anyway of getting the email or some managers in my league that have been inactive so i can see what's up with them, or if you have access to it could you send mail before they get kicked to see if they are ok and wish to continue or not. (I can give you the names in pm). I have sent iGP email but i get no reply. There is a couple that suddenly went inactive and one was autokicked, all were reasonable active prior. 

Also what is the format for the logo and banner, jpg, png?

I have a question.

I noticed my young drivers (got them from youth academy) are asking for a huge salary increase upon renewal. From 500k to 1.3m. Before the update, my other driver only asked for 500k -> 550k.

I have noticed the opposite effect on staff from from transfer market, they are asking for salary decrease on renewal 1.2m -> 900k.

Is that supposed to happen?



Has this been answered at all? I’ve got a CD up for renewal soon & he’s wanting a wage of 1.2m (currently 643k.) I have a driver up for renewal soon, on another account, with similar wage increases. Both were signed from the respective HQ’s. One team is in a one car league, while the other is two cars.

This is back online after being down for a few hours for maintenance.

Now I'll move on to other tasks like getting all the league admin tools back online (creation + "my leagues" page). Then I'll finally be able to move into all the stuff you guys really care about, gameplay wise.

For logos and banners jpg or png should be fine, they all get converted to webp on upload.

I need to be sure about the scenarios before I can answer. Some do sound unusual, but rememebr all leagues now have a multiplier on them.

Everything needs to be much clearer in the GUI, I'm going to make improving the GUI communication of everything a priority as I go through these fixes.

An update on cars being too slow in turns. I'm making good progress on a solution already, enough that I think it's worth mentioning here.

We'll need to run some races with the testers to check this doesn't mess up the simulation, but I've got cars flying through areas like the "Singapore sling" now. It has introduced a couple of minor problems I need to resolve, but this looks solvable. I did not expect to make this kind of progress so fast.

Today will revolve around fixing the issues some are experiencing on Windows and Android loading tracks and fixing sprint race rewards.

Immediate priorities:


  • New Windows patch - this will go live within the hour

  • New Android patch submitted to Google Play - this will be within the hour also, but only goes live once Google have reviewed it (can take days, especially at this time of year)

  • Fix Sprint Race issues - races and XP not being counted etc. I've looked into it a lot already and it's a bit of a mystery why they are not parsing properly, but I will devote my time to this until it's fixed.

The Windows and Android builds have been submitted. Windows is available immediately, Android will be delayed until Google Play approve it. That said, we have heard that reinstalling the app fixes Google Play issues.

EDIT: Scrap that, Google approved it already. The patch is live on Google Play. Grab it now!

Now I will turn my focus to what is going on with Sprint Races.

It shows as like the broken image symbol. When i open imagine in new tab it shows this.

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

When i go back into League Edit it shows No File Chosen even though I've just done it and hit save. This is with JFIF and PNG within the example sizing.

Hi Chris, the logo image must be square e.g. 512x512 and the banner must be 1200x120px. I have added better error handling around this. Please try again.

Oh specifically that sizing. not up to that, got ya, will give that a go. Just fyi, now in league edit it says for the Logo '1200x120px' and for the Banner it says 'Remove Co-Host?' lol 

initial Logo was 500x500, changed it to 512x512. .jpg and .png, neither worked.
Banner was increased to 1200x120px again both formats and again neither worked.

Chris, the image must be less than 2MB in size as well, could you send me the image you're trying to upload? I'll test it.

I just completed my first sprint (browser, PC). After the race ended, a message remained for a long time indicating the race was still in progress. I couldn't re-enter after the actual finish. At the end of the race, I received a reward notification, but in reality, I received nothing. This sprint is not included in the statistics of the races held, just like before, when I couldn’t take part in them. The driver lost some health.

I'm debugging this now. It goes deep into the server architecture, I think I'm getting close. Sprint races are not being handled correctly since launch.

banner is exactly 1200x120, 118kbs.
logo is exactly 512x512, 112kbs.

One of my mangers made them, but they were smaller i resized them to those specs above after trying the ones he made. I'll ask if he can send you the image host link for the ones he made and if he can resize them and send the link to those as well.

I can't do it either. I resized it to 512x512, in both png and jpg format, but it's no good.

SPRINT RACES FIXED
Results from sprint races are now parsing correctly.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, everyone. That was a real headache. I had to go deep into the server configurations, folder permissions and more. Sprint races should now be working as intended, and we can iron out any remaining bugs as we go along.

Vechicle Physics Update
Feeling confident enough to say this publicly now. The movement of cars is much smoother on my development simulator and I'm still improving it. Much healthier cornering speeds also. I've been testing on Singapore (the worst track).

Please fix the car slowdown in every corner as soon as possible. The game becomes impossible to play. I know you are working on resolving this issue, but I do not understand why it was introduced in the first place. It is impossible to judge the distance between vehicles because they sometimes teleport. Battery is wasted trying to catch the car in front, and once we do catch up, we end up ahead with the battery already depleted. This truly kills any desire to continue playing.

That's exactly what I am working on, and I thought this would take weeks before, now I think it will take days.

It was not "introduced" by intent, it was a technical barrier and constraint I was forced to work inside with the simulator. The whole back-end of the service is built collaboratively between me and a couple of other devs. I'm the only one with any background in racing, so sometimes they're looking at tasks purely as a developer, not as a racer. I got handed a huge technical limitation (for realism) on how I could move the cars. To work around it, I've ended up building an entire new parallel physics system to overwrite everything the old system gave me.

It was not easy to work around this limitation. That's why it wasn't resolved before. Until now, I had no solution to work around it, now I found one in a kind of "eureka moment". I'll get this to the live game ASAP, but first I need to test multiple tracks. Balancing between the curves of Japan and the tight turns of Singapore is the new challenge, and it's tricky, but I'm making good progress, much faster than I expected.
