OOSTERHOUT OUSTED FROM RELENTLESS
_______________________________________

After just one race, the motorsport industry has been left in shock as Sabine Oosterhout was removed from the driver line-up ahead of the new season. Sabine is said to be disappointed with the decision, and stated that she had a lot more to give, and will continue to try and get into the pinnacle of the racing industry.

The replacement wasn't announced straight away, and there was speculation that Itzel Santiago was going to be re-instated within the team, considering she was the one that had been replaced. However, these rumours turned out to be false; although they weren't far from the truth.

In fact, the replacement for Sabine Oosterhout will be none other than the only driver to win the Championship for the UK team - Jamie Davies. Davies was dropped by the team the season before last, and had been replaced by current driver, Ryota Onishi. The Japanese driver had a great first season alongise the Mexican female driver - Itzel Santiago, and the fact that she didn't perform to standard was the reason that she was replaced by Sabine Oosterhout.

There was speculation at halfway through the season that Itzel may be replaced by Davies, when observers saw the British Champion visiting the factory on a regular basis. However, when Oosterhout replaced Santiago, it was assumed that this driver change would continue on into the new season.

"It's great to be back at Relentless Racing," The British driver said in his first interview since being re-hired by the team. "We've been in negotiation for sometime, and there were points where it didn't seem like it was going to be possible. But, we've come to an agreement which suits everyone and I'm extremely excited about getting back in the car, and hopefully challenging for wins and Championships once again,"

More to follow...

If the last team the driver raced for was your team, then you can re-sign them, even if they are above your level. Because the implication is that you trained them up to that level, and then lost them.

It was implemented a long time ago as a way to get drivers back in case you forget to renew the contract.

This way, you can park drivers and re-use them in the future.

Parked drivers age and suffer atrophy ? Because if they don't, I intend to park my drivers during non-competitive seasons.

I only noticed this earlier today, no they dont age or atrophy, but then you also cant train them... and we can all see there stats[which is the biggest thing IMO], so why would you want to not use them? also means wasting 20m a season on signing fee's

Yeah, I wouldn't want to waste a season's worth of training, especially as you never know when you might become more competitive.

Now I have two drivers that can win races and titles. Money is no issue for me. When I don't have the car, why waste the two, risking aging and atrophy ? I could build a car for next season and defroze the drivers put in hibernation mode.

TRT REPLACES JANIS EKIS
Nora Isaksen has replaced Janis Ekis after an ordinary end to the season. The deal is said to be made to teach and nuture Breno Carlos, we think its just to get some points. Nora Isaksen and Breno are both said to be rated lvl 10 drivers so this should be interesting. Many say the reason Breno is rated so high is due to his talent, well lets see if this underdog can teach Breno how to drive a car!
But will this move pay off when the next season won't be concentrated on by TRT?

Britney Harnett (now Britney Collins) and Lachlan Collins are now married!
It comes after Journo's were told to be quite and small, the pair is now almost complete but still wants to focus on racing and a honeymoon (eventually).
While TRT is in debt, the couple that owns it definetley isn't, sparks are flying at the canvas, well part of it at least!

More information on TRT and their performances can be found after the first race.

RUMOURS ABOUND FROM INSIDE TEAM WAYCOTT

There have been rumours from inside the paddock that not all is well within the Team Waycott camp.

Due to the close battle in the last season for 2nd place with Team Brady Racing,, this season’s car has been plagued with development problems and there might not be any solution coming within the first half of the season.

“We had to sacrifice a lot of our development time for this season in order to stay competitive for the second place battle” new Chief Designer Samuel Thomas was quoted as saying, “but we’ll be fighting hard to keep the gap small to the top teams”.

Technical Director Pavel Makriev has been heard to say that this season’s car maybe scrapped in favour of concentrating on the fight for next season but Team Manager Nick Randall quickly denied this ”We’ll be pushing hard this season, as we do every season, to get the maximum performance out of the car. While we had to make sacrifices for this season, I still believe we can score some good points”.
