Relentless Junior was said to be disappointed by finishing second, despite having a massively resurgent second half to the season. They fought through and closed the gap to Simparts, when it looked like they were going to dominate the Championship.

"I am disappointed, but then at the same time, we have to think about what we achieved, and how fantastic it is. We almost took the title, despite Simparts having the car to win from the start, and we can take a lot from that. We are now promoting into the Elite, so both of our teams will compete together, for the first time since Nick had two teams here,"

"If there is one thing that niggles at me, it is that we had problems in Monaco, almost similar to what Alin and Rusteze had in Hungary this season. If we had just taken a few points there, then we could have won the Championship, but shoulda, woulda, coulda I suppose. I think we'll just leave it there and head off to the big party at Rusteze - they always throw one hell of a party!"

Team Brady Racing announces new livery & colour plan for this year, although this may change after the first race.. Pink/Green having been dropped to confusion caused by another team adopting the same colours. Rumours suggest, White, Black & Yellow are all under consideration

With just over an hour under qualifying results come in the pressure is on every manager to start the season in the points. With 4 wins in the last 5 races & Dissapointment at not becoming Drivers Champion, Enda Dempsey is putting immense pressure on the team to provide a championship winning car.

A leaked e-mail to the team suggests Dempsey said the following

"Enda Dempsey has made it clear that he would like to return to championship winning form next season. We need to provide a car that makes that possible."

RELENTLESS REGAIN TOP SPOT
_____________________________

After a somewhat thrilling Australian GP, we can finally determine a rough order of competitiveness going into the season ahead, which sees Relentless Racing rising back to the top after a difficult season, where they just scraped through to finish 4th.

Ryota Onishi claimed his second pole of his career, with the newly re-hired Jamie Davies only being able to qualify 8th after a mistake which cost him dearly, and was over half a second behind his team mate.

"On my final run, I was on a good lap, but I took too much speed coming out of turn 12, and went wide, which made my tyres lose a little bit of grip, and then when that happens, your natural instint is to try and make that time back up, but then I locked up quite a lot going into turn 13. Without those mistakes, I reckon I could have got a lot closer to the front, although I'm not sure I would have been able to topple Ryota,"

Even Kowonsinski of Relentless Junior was able to get in front of Davies, after putting in a shock performance and qualified 7th.

The race was looking to be competitive, with the top teams all gunning for the top spot as usual. However, early on, Onishi and Dempsey were able to build a gap to the others, whilst Davies fought for a way through, having to lounge back in 8th for 3-4 laps, before his kers was finally charged and he could use kers and DRS to power his way through into 3rd place.

For most of the race, Onishi looked to have things under control. The only podium battle seemed to be between Roux and Davies, who constantly switched places  throught the course of the second stint.

It was only in the final stint that Relentless Racing really came alive, with fresher tyres and an equal fuel load to Team Brady, they could build a much better gap to both Dempsey and Roux, and were able to finish in 1st and 3rd respectively.

"I'm so happy!" Shouted Onishi in the press conference. "It's so fantastic to get a win, especially in the first race of the season. The whole race was absolutely incredible. The car felt brilliant, and despite kers going offline towards the end of the race, meaning I couldn't go for the fastest lap, the whole weekend was flawless. I have to give a massive thankyou to the team, because they've been pushing so hard to get us on top, and I just hope that I can fight for the win at every race this season,"

With the "look ma, no hands" option for this race, Rusteze is happy to finish 5th and 7th and if the drivers were actually in their cars and not cars driven in auto-mode by computer, Rusteze is confindent it would have placed even higher.

Rusteze Junior stampeded opposition in Pro, placing 1-2, 1 lap ahead of 3rd place man and 2 laps ahead of everybody else. If only Rusteze could have the Junior cars. :)

I'd just like to add, that if you had been there, Alin, it would have been difficult to finish much better than you did, as the rulebook was thrown out of the window that race, and everything changed.

What do you mean, Jamie ? And shame on you ! Only 73% chassis, like David ? I thought you, the fast guys, have 100% cars. Who has it ? :) And dear rivals, I want to point out that my next year's car, after just two races, it's at 32% :D

I missed last nights race, and will tonights as well... at least we all know who to clone next season ;) .. I cant wait till the whole design thing is overhauled, this whole dominate 1 season then suck the next [or in my case fighting for 2nd every season] is rather tedious

Yeah, the design thing gets a bit old, having to win and then do your best to consolidate. That's why I never try to build a 100% car. In fact, my car last season (at the end ) is better than my current.

And it was really odd because two teams came out of nowhere to almost dominate the GP, and were overheating their tyres dramatically to do it. When they had seriously red tyres, they were going 4 seconds quicker than me.

That only happens in the rain.

Yeah, but I never knew that tyres acted that way in the rain. Pushing a tyre to its maximum heat, so they look like they're on fire...

I would have thought an optimum temperature would be the best, no matter what the condition.

They didnt win on push hard, coz thats what i was on with a full wet setup and went from pole to 8th, so bright red wasnt a plan

After the Australian Grand Prix it was rumoured that Lachlan Collins (aka Collo) was selected for a new Australian Cycling team. After much speculation the rumours have been confirmed but no one is sure what team he will be competiting with. He uses the 2 bikes pictured below, the first bike as his time trial and the second as his racing.
Will Collo cope with 2 jobs paying big money? Who will fill in for him when he leaves to race? Will he enjure the pains of the cycling world?

Meanwhile his wife has been busy in her modelling world, the sweet girl from Australia has made her way to international shoots. Britney's latest modelling was at the beach, thank-heavans for that!
We've been kept from these stories but not today potato

TRT IS IN ATTACK MODE
Well its been a gut wrenching decision but Collo has finally said they have no intentions on performing this year, after their latest performances you would like to think thats true, even with the worst car on the grid it would seem, they still score points. The team only has 18 but that's more than they got in their first year with Speed Series.
So that leaves us to wonder, has TRT matured?
