Hi Jack,

I like that its coming along. Any plans to "fix" the chat so that it shows who is in it?

There's an open issue for that in the tracker. Keep an eye on that for the conversation.

At the moment you can tell who is in the chat when you join, because it will say "X joined". It will say this for everyone that is currently in the chat, so it basically says what you are looking for. I understand it would be nice to have an online list though, so keep an eye on the issue tracker.

I was having the same issue, with IE and Chrome. I think it was impatience. Today on Firefox it worked, but the initial loading takes 15-30 seconds to show anything. Might be your issue as well

If you are waiting for more than a few minutes, leave the race viewer open for at least 15 minutes and check it every 5-10 minutes.
I had an issue where some times it took me a very long time to load the viewer, especially over a less than ideal internet connection, like 3mbps.

Really? Obviously, that's not normal, and should not happen.

I noticed when that happened to me (stuck on 0.0) it was when I opened multiple viewer instances and it was due to running out of memory...

Do you have quite low specs on your machines or lots open in the browser by any chance when launching the viewer?

One way to check if this is the problem for you is to open the developer console in the browser (usually f12 or ctrl+shift+i) and get the console tab. Launch the viewer with this open and see what error messages come up when it fails to load. Let me know what you get and your devices specs and we'll get to the bottom of it.

Pretty low specs tbh, its a cheap windows tablet, but not had any problems with other sites running videos etc.
Its a Intel Atom CPU 1.33ghz, 1gb Ram 32 bit OS (windows 10)

The only other window open was the beta home page as the viewer opens up in pop up window.

Yeah, I don't think that will be enough if other apps are running in the background but we can see. Like I said before we don't recommend using the live race on anything but a desktop (or laptop) until the native application is released. Mobile browsers tend to have terrible performance, except for the really modern Android and ios implementations on high end devices.

By all means you can manage your team on that tablet though, in the browser, as I'm sure you have done. Come to think of it, if it's a windows tablet you might be out of luck waiting for an app. We can't release for Windows due to libraries we use not supporting it. It will be Android and ios.

I used a HP laptop from 2013. I didn't have any browsers open too. I'll try the thing you suggested later today

Hi Jack,

Cant seem to access that issue tracker you linked above.

Do you know also if its mentioned that the "bid option" does not appear to be working in beta?

And will we get the option to move the chat around on the screen like we do in the current version. I for one think that its probably bigger than its needs to be and its seems to be a set % of the screen. Where as the current viewer, the chat seems to be a set size, so if i move to my desktop it takes up a smaller % of the screen rather than getting bigger?

I think it may also be logged as an issue, but not being able to see the time sheets at all times like we current can is a big miss.

Otherwise its starting to grow on me, but like a few people have mentioned in our race last night, big parts of it seem to be a step to the right rather than a step forward in regard the dev of the game.

It will make for some crazy racing for a while while we get to grips with it thats for sure!

Only three people have said anything about "pay-to-win" gameplay, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who will at least question the possibility when they see the new tokens system. If you are one of those people and would like reassurance that we have thought this through and made sure the game is fair and balanced, I have created a new thread addressing this on the open beta forum:

Wondering what will happen to your subscription in the new iGP Manager? The answer is here, in the latest blog:

Hi jack

I have read the new blog and the offer for subscribers is more than fair I think.

My question is what if (like me) you are a month by month subscriber? Been playing and paying for over a year but I have got the feeling that I won't be getting any initial "bonus" like the year by year subscribers (despite effectively spending more across that time) will do, instead just getting the £9 a month instead of £2.99

please tell me that's not the case

I'm not sure I understand, but you'll get £2.99 of tokens right away, then £8.97 every month after that. Yearly subscribers will get £19.99 right away, so yeah they will get a bigger initial bonus, but they will have to wait up to a year again for the next top-up. You'll have far more tokens than them after 3 months. It's relative, and only there as a legacy option to help our subscribers out through the transition. There won't be any more subscriptions on sale after the new game launches.
