It's a testing platform. If you want it to behave like a live product for sale and get frustrated when it has an issue, then maybe it's best not to use it. Also, we never said mobile support was in this version for live races. I've continually said not to use the live race viewer on phones until it comes as an app. We don't expect people to play the game in a browser on phones and tablets, which is why we're releasing an app later this year.

There is an issue with the server at the moment, behind the game, not the game itself. We're working to resolve that. It's because we reached a critical mass of users and are being upgraded to the next "tier" of service. For some reason, that has caused issues, but good to find that now and not while we're scaling on the live site, eh? That's why we're testing! :P This scaling is part of what the major server upgrade I referred to was in recent weeks.

Yeah, I don't think that will be enough if other apps are running in the background but we can see. Like I said before we don't recommend using the live race on anything but a desktop (or laptop) until the native application is released. Mobile browsers tend to have terrible performance, except for the really modern Android and ios implementations on high end devices.

By all means you can manage your team on that tablet though, in the browser, as I'm sure you have done. Come to think of it, if it's a windows tablet you might be out of luck waiting for an app. We can't release for Windows due to libraries we use not supporting it. It will be Android and ios.

Hmm... I think this might be an issue.. a little digging around and it seems that the specs on my computer (apparently its not a tablet, its a laptop with a removable keyboard.. smart arsed daughter corrected me!) isn't that uncommon for people with netbooks etc that are just a year old. That's a large potential market wiped out, especially as the new game seems to focus much more on actively being at the race. Because of this I had a browse round the net last night, and found plenty of glossy looking games than ran fine (need for speed, tomb runner etc)so I can't understand why the new iGP needs such high specs?

We will see what we can do.

You're not the only person having performance problems, so I think we need to address this directly and find whatever we can. The performance of the viewer is being looked in to as I write this, but we need as much information as possible from everyone who is experiencing choppiness or framerate issues. Device specs, OS, browser, a clear description of the problem and how it occurs etc.

What you need to remember is that it is a beta, weich means services from time to time won't be working as expected, last night there was some kind of issues with the servers which caused a fair bit of down time.

We believe we have solved this issue now and it is exactly what we hoped for believe it or not. We want these type of problems coming out the wood work so they don't happen when it is released properly

When you say device specs what exactly are you looking for?
Graphics Card
RAM
Processor

That's useful indeed, that's the sort of information we need. Knowing what graphics card you have (if any) would also be helpful.

For anyone missing moveable windows and being able to see everything at once in the beta race viewer, I've come up with a proposed solution. You can join the discussion over on the beta forum here: http://beta.igpmanager.com/forum-thread/29

How low do you want me to go? That above is what I currently use in the beta test and everything was fine up until the server issue yesterday. I could pull out an older slower laptop & slap windows 10 on to it or just use it as winxp & install the iewebgl plug-in to use IE10 or just use chrome/firefox if you like.

I could make a laptop with these type of specs
Single core processor
RAM 512mb/1gb/2gb
32/64bit
HD/Standard Graphics Card

I will test the beta tomorrow only got computer up and running and there are 479 updates to do lol

WinXP Pro
version 2002
SP2
intel pentuim m processor 1400mhz 1.40ghz
2gb of ram

ati mobility radeon agp 0x4c59
internal dac 350mhz
16mb memory size

using firefox browser

Wondering what will happen to your subscription in the new iGP Manager? The answer is here, in the latest blog:

http://www.igpmanager.com/news-article/113/the-new-igp-manager-and-subscriptions

What will happen to the existing reward points? Will they be converted to tokens too?
md-quotelink

That's correct. They will be reduced in number but the value will be the same or better when converted to the new "scale". Tokens come in far smaller packages (e.g. Instead of 500 you can buy 40 and so on). So don't be alarmed when it changes, you will keep the same amount of value. Also, the items are far cheaper now than the old rewards items. Many things like healing used to cost more than £1 in reward points even if you were only healing 10%. Now if you heal that same amount it costs 1 token,  which is like £0.10.

The savings are even bigger than that iirc but I'm in bed on my tablet and can't look them up.
