You didn't mention the 10 new levels ,are they still coming?



I'm also waiting for another 10 levels, I hope it really happens soon, not because of the issue that the track records can be beaten by the new generation, but because of the breaking of the pilot's limits, since the maximum is 20 per stat, hopefully it will be 30 in the next update

A great development, but I would really be happy with a safety car or Virtual Safety cars…



Didn't they add safety cars and VSC before but it was pretty bad and resulted in alot of people disliking it and VSC and Safety being removed? 


Why was the safety car removed?

Hi Managers,
Firstly, I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and extra time with their loved ones.

I can announce now that the next update with engine suppliers is set for a January release. In the last developer blog I mentioned that more details would be released nearer the time, so here are a few more insights in to what will be in this update:


  • Driver special abilities - This will include 'qualifying', 'street circuit' and 'wet weather' specialist abilities. Drivers will have an edge in conditions that highlight their special ability.

  • Driver BMI - Replacing the current primitive 'weight' calculations, drivers will have a BMI (Body Mass Index) value, calculated using their height and weight. They will perform best when their BMI is at the optimal ratio.

  • Driver's 'favourite circuit' - As with special abilities, each driver will have a favourite circuit where they excel.



Along with the ability to become an engine manufacturer, these represent a lot of new performance factors to manage, and should really spice up the racing.

If you read my blog, you will know that I anticipated the update arriving sooner, but these things are always hard to predict whilst in development. The strangest things that have nothing to do with development can impact development timelines. This has been a challenging year for us, and for a few months now, I've been the only developer. I thought all possible setbacks were behind me at the time of the last blog, but life found a way to introduce a bunch more. I've maintained development throughout and largely navigated these matters, so now and my focus returns to finalising this update and preparing it for beta testing. The update is in a working state on my development server, so with some finishing touches it will be ready for beta testing soon.

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas, New Year and some great racing this winter!

Why was the safety car removed?




Simple answer is that it did not work.  A more advanced answer is that it noused up the end of races considering that was when most mechanical faults occurred.  A car's  suspension would fail with a few laps to go.  The SC or VSC would be deployed and that would be that at the most important time of a race, every time.  It meant that nobody could make up positions at the end of almost every race and that just became both boring and annoying.

In my opinion the PRIORITY thing to update is the DRS.. there are tracks where you even exceed 3/4 cars with only one DRS and others where if you lose one, despite the best car, you arrive 10 seconds behind the DRS train.. the everything doesn't seem REALISTIC to me... The DRS should be weakened with at most one overtaking at DRS...

Hope there's engine or fuel supplier which they have strength on cooling sector. To be honest, it's bit weird to see engine supplier has strength on tyre economy.
