Erwin KramerA great development, but I would really be happy with a safety car or Virtual Safety cars…

Didn't they add safety cars and VSC before but it was pretty bad and resulted in alot of people disliking it and VSC and Safety being removed? 


They did add it a few years ago. With teams not active near season end , computer teams Cara would break down continuously dropping out and it wasn't liked very much. VSC came out alot when that happened.

Firstly, I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and extra time with their loved ones.

I can announce now that the next update with engine suppliers is set for a January release. In the last developer blog I mentioned that more details would be released nearer the time, so here are a few more insights in to what will be in this update:


  • Driver special abilities - This will include 'qualifying', 'street circuit' and 'wet weather' specialist abilities. Drivers will have an edge in conditions that highlight their special ability.

  • Driver BMI - Replacing the current primitive 'weight' calculations, drivers will have a BMI (Body Mass Index) value, calculated using their height and weight. They will perform best when their BMI is at the optimal ratio.

  • Driver's 'favourite circuit' - As with special abilities, each driver will have a favourite circuit where they excel.



Along with the ability to become an engine manufacturer, these represent a lot of new performance factors to manage, and should really spice up the racing.

If you read my blog, you will know that I anticipated the update arriving sooner, but these things are always hard to predict whilst in development. The strangest things that have nothing to do with development can impact development timelines. This has been a challenging year for us, and for a few months now, I've been the only developer. I thought all possible setbacks were behind me at the time of the last blog, but life found a way to introduce a bunch more. I've maintained development throughout and largely navigated these matters, so now and my focus returns to finalising this update and preparing it for beta testing. The update is in a working state on my development server, so with some finishing touches it will be ready for beta testing soon.

I don't how will work update with BMI, however  it looks that we have to change drivers soon: from Tall to short because BMI for a 192cm with 51kg it could not be right.


I have a suggestion: give the possibility to "train driver to increase (not only decrease) weight. What do you think?

Hi! What about an update of colour tire?

However I love the game, but there are not "unexpected" things like incident, safety car or weather change that will make the game more realistic and funny. Maybe in the future you can think about this?

Best thing for years in terms of revenue for the studio. No 3D means no income, no income means no game for you and me to play, Dario. 
So 3D keeps the servers running, can’t say it’s biggest flop

No, they won't be displayed before promoting a driver from the Youth Academy.

What about the Finish Error? Can that be fixed as well?  I've mention about it before.
Last lap, your 1st car crossing the line, the camera switches view from your 2nd car to the 1st car and you completely loose control over the 2nd car.
Can't go back (switch button disappears). Terrible Error.


Hello Seba, we perfectly know how frustrating that issue is. Unfortunately that's a bug we can't fix at the moment with the resources we've at our disposal. This bug is a top priority for us that we'll fix as soon as we can. Apologies.

I wouldn’t say there is a problem with the weight system at the moment. The weight is the only thing that really matters at the end of the day from a performance perspective. A short and fat person could be overweight, thus having a bad BMI, but weigh less than a skinny tall person with a good BMI could slow the car down less despite weighing more. Have I explained myself well?

Is that how it is being implemented or does it work differently?


It works differently, drivers with bad BMI will be punished with a rework of the morale so their lap times aren't as good as with a good BMI.

And what will happen to actual drivers? They have to become fatter  during Chirstmas holidays?


There will be an option to train drivers to gain weight.

Hi, thanks for the update. A piece of information I think you could share is an important one. The aspect about Customer and Manufacturer Teams.

Will this be confined within the League or can I become an engine customer for a team in another league?

Our league is hoping that we'll see this as a in-league feature.

People complain about bugs in a free game... Then they pay €70 for games like F1 and they are very happy.

I wish IGP would become a paid game.
